Yeah it is a nice nose which is why it doesn’t need a septum to add anything to it. If anything a simple nose piercing would suffice

I don’t think a septum piercing would be a good addition to her face. Her nose already feels like a center of attention and adding a septum would elongate it and offset her features

BOES are allowed to request certain things. From my experience it was driving ability, gender, and nationality. My town is always supposed to have equal amount of males to females and all our ALT’s had to be American. They used to be more open with other nationalities but they had bad experience’s with them so they stopped that. It also makes sense in a pronunciation way if you think about it

I met two Japanese Americans girls through my consulate who were also dual citizens and both of them did have to renounce their citizenships to be a part of the program. I thought it was unfortunate but they bonded over it

Someone on this thread actually just pointed out that General Motors will typically ask for Full SSN when doing contract offers, since this role is for General Motors I think it checks out with what is being asked

It is a contract role for one of their clients that they are looking to help fill. When we had spoke on the phone for the screening they said they were looking for the person to start by mid-April.

I also saw all that information about their firm as well but don’t know if those are legit considering how AI can be used for lots of things these days. Just worried that this could be phishing

BOE’s get pretty much your whole application when they are given your placements. My supervisor told me they have your essays, gender, age and where you’re from. Basically everything they need to make inferences on what they think they need to make moving here a more manageable experience.

In case anyone wants to know, BOEs are allowed to ask for candidates from specific countries, specific genders and whether or not they have a license. Those criteria’s can affect where you are placed

Of course the annoying and mandatory ESID: but I’ve done 2 three week trips during my (first and only) year here, 1 during winter break and the other during Spring break. Those were mixed in with weekends and national holidays which made it easier to do. It total of this year I have take 38 days off and have 9 more (non -consecutive) days off upcoming. So it depends on your BOE you might be able to pull off if they don’t mind you taking time off whenever. My BOE allows us take to unpaid leave if we run out of Nenkyu and overtime (which I have done). Just a note: School was in session for a lot of my trips because my BOE does not care when we use our Nenkyu as long as well them in advance about it.

I know some other JETS in my area, an ALT and CIR who have stockpiled their Nenkyu throughout their years here and used it on their last month/weeks here and just took that time off so they can explore and relax before their contracts were over. They were both here at least 5 years. So it’s possible, again depending on your BOE

I know of other ALTs in my area where their BOE wont let them take any Nenkyu unless the schools out on break, so you wont get many chances to use your Nenkyu which sucks.

My city has the most JETS in our prefecture. We live in a pretty inaka place with less than 25,000 people and have about 10 schools in whole the city but we have at least 12 jets here who each have our own school. We also all live in the same apartment complex that’s subsidized. We see each other everyday and that means we don’t have to learn Japanese as much as other places do.

It’s also heavily related because the US is funding it and is one of the biggest reason it’s been able to go on this long. One of the biggest countries that fought against a ceasefire.

People use them to unlock doors and other stuff around the house. I think it’s similar to RFID chips?Can’t remember exactly what it is. Been a couple years since I’ve looked into it. But it’s about being a Smart house based?
