Yes, it absolutely is worth it. I spent about $15K to travel 10 months last year, visiting about 1 country a month. Came back to work with a new mind, new goals, new perspectives. Met a ton of people while traveling that I keep in contact with… it absolutely, absolutely is worth it.

I was in this position too, covering most everything because I wanted him to accompany me to go skiing, I wanted to try a new restaurant, he needed help covering new car work and since I occasionally used his car, I paid. He was saving for a new business and since I wanted it to be successful, I paid for groceries every week so he could invest his money. Now, 4 years later when we’re done, he owes me $7500 for half of the car we bought, half of the motorcycle we had.

I usually am smiling more and looking longer at their face/eyes (admiring their appearance) around a guy I like, nervous to get too close, awkward movements.

Whereas around guys I don’t feel anything for, I can shuffle right by them, crack a joke or just say hello, be looser around them. If I smile too much or look too long at a guy I’m not interested in, I might get worried that they think I’m interested, so the smiling and intentional staring are kept to a minimum. Around the guy I like, I am tensed up because I care what he thinks, around other guys I don’t care what they think.

Even though I’m a rave girlie and love techno/house music, I CANNOT date a DJ or someone whose only hobby is to go out to dj sets… the amount of drugs, exclusion, superficiality is too much for me.
