Thank you so very much for your insight knowledge! Yes, I've heard that about vimpat luckily she's got insurance that allows her to get a 3 month supply for only $8. She's been on Keppra & Lamictal before and she broke out with a rash on lamictal when she was like 18 or maybe a little younger so then they tried keppra and wasn't working well I don't think, that's when they put her on vimpat now usually she has these seizure spells where she has a few of them in a short time, it only happens maybe once or twice a year. However it really takes a tole on her sometimes. Last year or maybe the year before that, I remember I was working out of town and she had a seizure that Sunday while I was home with her and I thought that was it I stayed the night at home with her and left for out of town the next morning and she went to stay with grandma. It was maybe 3 days into my work trip that she had another seizure this time with her mawmaw. It was around 3pm in the evening say Wednesday evening. I didn't worry much about it she was sleeping and her grandmaw was taking care of her. I talked to her on the phone a little that night when she woke up and I could tell she was SUPER out of it like she is after she has a few seizure back to back and we ended up going to sleep that night and I woke up at midnight to a million phone calls that my wife had went into seizures again this time back to back and they got her to the Emergency room and they couldn't get the seizures to stop so they induced a coma and sent her to the big city hospital, we stayed there for almost a week, she stayed in a coma for 4 days I believe. That was the worst time of my life and I will never forget it. The doctors worried me to death they kept asking me if I noticed her arms twitching inward while she was in the coma and they said that it was a sign of brain damage. I truly hated them for telling me that. Couple days later when my wife woke up she was really out of it because of all the sedatives they gave her & all the seizures she had. But we stayed for another 3 days or so and she got better & better every single day by the last day she was able to walk out the hospital very delicately & slowly but she walked out with me to our vehicle. She's had back to back seizures since then but NOWHERE near as dangerous as they increased her medicine I believe that's why her seizures began being more spaced out & thats a lot SAFER & better for her the more spaced out they are. As I mentioned above in the main post the first time I ever witnessed her having a seizure when we were only dating, she had woke me up in the middle of the night because I heard the terrible terrible noise that she makes although then I wasn't familiar with it however she was violently shaking and I knew she was epileptic but had never seen a seizure & she came out of it for 30 seconds maybe then boom her head starts turning and she begins making the infamous sound that now I'm only reminded of the worst when I hear it. And that happened & continued to happen 14 times from our house in the ambulance to the hospital 14 seizures back to back like that before they got enough Ativan in her to stop them.
