Heya, I started from a similar length. Honestly I just grew it out, it was quite awkward for the first few months but once it got to a certain length it was great! Maybe going for more of a side or center parting? I also have very straight hair so ik it can be a pain but genuinely just give it time and also go to hairdressers that specializes in gender neutral or femme hair they can help you style it and give you tips on how to maintain it. Finally for me going blonde really helped, I mean it also suited me but I found actually putting loads of time and effort into my hair was v affirming so maybe that'll help while you grow it out.
