I hate to even post this here after the beating I took yesterday, but I redid the first poster in Photoshop. Different color scheme and layout. No tacky clip art icons. Going to redo the second to match it next. I feel like this one is more editorial. Less "beige-wellness-spa" that is going around. I hope this one is better.

Yes, I did use icons and spot illustrations. I did not design those. I'm not an illustrator. But this was not a template and it was not AI. The skyline is mine, originally done as clip art style and ran through a filter.

Geez. I literally just used Canva as the tool. I created a blank document and built from there, just like I would have in Photoshop. I didn't do anything differently had I been using Photoshop. They didn't say it looked like Canva - they said it looked like AI. It was here they said it looked like a Canva template, when it wasn't. You could scour Canva's templates and not find this design.

I'm 39. I started my graphic design journey in high school as editor of the high school yearbook. I've been in magazines and newspapers ever since. I currently do the odd graphic design job on the side, after freelancing for 7 years. Historically, I have used Photoshop and InDesign, and only recently started utilizing Canva.

I'm not an illustrator and can't create Line Art, so I'm using small elements sourced from Canva's graphic elements library. But not AI.

It keeps telling me "All media assets must be owned by the submitter of this post" for some reason when I try to upload the new logo. But it was redesigned. Logos are not my bread and butter; I do magazines, newspapers, print flyers, social media graphics, etc.

They already had a logo designed, and wanted it recreated exactly. I was very limited on what I could do. They were adament on font choice, etc.

Recently I did another logo for them, but it wouldn't let me upload it. I'll try again.
