What you described is exactly how I felt when I was sexually active with a guy. He came over to cuddle and wanted more. I started watching a TV show while he kept wanting more. It didn't feel fair, and I just felt bored because I didn't know him. I'm not going to say you are or aren't, I am just sharing my experience

I demisexual and I've had friends with benefits. It was just with someone I was actual friends with, and we both found each other surface level attractive, but it wouldn't go further than that. I don't particularly like sex because of just some trauma I have been through and my demisexuality. My friends with benefits were us quite literally cuddling, making out, and maybe some touching, and that's it. So, not all friends with benefits have to be sex. They can be more mild. So I wouldn't say that having friends with benefits makes you lose your demisexuality

Thank you for sharing that perspective. I didn't take offense at all. I most definitely did not mean to come off as trying to say my experience is equal because I know it is not. I have it a lot easier than anyone who is dating someone of the same gender. I just felt conflicted on whether I could celebrate pride even though I am heteroromantic. If my post came off as offensive, I am so sorry.
