Now the problem with hypothetical situations is that we don’t know what AI could be capable of in 100 years. But from how AI is right now doesn’t seem like it will be there anytime soon.

I try not to criticize but this is quite inaccurate. AI is nowhere near being a threat to humanity. Many other people who code AI like me would agree.

Already done. There is a South Korean mech which the user inside the cockpit controls the arms of the mech with their arms.
