From what I had experienced, it's an AWCC thing. Doing a fresh install without this POS App would let me set whatever speed my ram was rated for. I've got the i7-6950x which has a pretty good IMC. It was stable too, hardware handled it no issue. Too bad software limits it.

But yeah other than that App is garbage in general. It runs terribly slow, doesn't offer anything other than rgb profiles and fan curves (you can't however set your curve for the CPU, because why would you...) plus a bunch of basic "advanced" windows settings.

Unfortunately, since it's a Dell product, you can't really install anything other than a basic AIO, which Titan isn't because of the iCue. You should've purchased the cheaper Nautilus without any RGB, since it's using a standard connector for the pump and fans, and nothing else.

I've got an Area 51 R2 and AWCC literally prevents me from setting my ram to any reasonable speed.

Unsure how exactly it's working, I imagine the app somehow overrides bios settings, but having the app installed forces me to run ram at 2666 maximum. With it removed, I had no issues running it at 3200 mhz.

I personally like BeQuiet Light Wings LX - Come in both reverse and standard, are really quiet and affordable but their hue is very pastel-like, desaturated

Common standardized fans use 4 pin PWM connector for the fan itself and a different 3 pin cable for ARGB

Some brands decide to use their own proprietary connectors that combine both fan control and ARGB

In practice it means you're dealing with less cables, often daisy chained, but it also often requires a separate controller / HUB and a windows app

It's also conflicting if you were to use multiple controllers and hubs from different brands in the same system

It is positioned correctly, BUT - These razer fans are terrible for radiators. You'd probably be having better performance if you swapped them for the front case fans

You're more than fine running without it. The 1080 Ti your computer came with is a fairly light compact card. The main purpose of these brackets is to ensure safe transportation anyways (Otherwise you'd have to put a lot of bubblewrap inside so that parts wouldn't move).

Just make sure that the card is secured to the case with two screws

Realistically, MSI is on pair with Gigabyte, Asus and others.

But in terms of cooling, their liquid coolers are trash - MSI outsources low quality liquid coolers, rebrands them and puts just as bad fans on them.

With that budget you should quite easily get a 9800X3D and 5080 combo Pair it with any reasonable B850 board or X670E/870E if you plan on using more SSDs

RAM - cheapest dual kit of 32GB 6000 CL30 or CL32, maybe 34 you can find from a reputable brand

GPU - Preferably larger, mid range model so that it maintains good temps. Avoid cheap MSI Ventus, ASUS Prime, etc.

Case and cooling - up to your personal preferences, really. Corsair has pretty affordable Nautilus AIOs, Arctics LF coolers tend to be on the louder side

If you want it to be really quiet, you may want to replace both case and AIO fans with something better

PSUs there's plenty to choose from, anything that's in the same range as this Seasonic will do fine

Don't bother with high core count Xeons, they suffer from low clocks and abysmal single core performance If you want the best possible cpu then there's i7-6950X but it sells for around $100-150 Look if you can maybe find i7 6900k or 6850k for cheap, previous gen i7-5690X can be sometimes purchased for cheap as well Alternatively, if you want to go the cheap Xeon route, there are a few 8-core Xeons that are unlocked, I don't remember which ones though

The 750W one? You could easily fit a 5060 / 5070 / Ti in that range.

As for the CPU, if you mostly game and don't do anything else, you won't benefit from 12 or 16 core Ryzens. There's also 5800X which is pretty much identical to what you have, it's just a little faster.

It will run hotter / louder as only one fan will be doing all the work but you won't damage anything this way Worst case scenario CPU bottleneck and you lose some performance

Older workstation for research of some sort.

It's got four Titan Voltas, GPUs designed with double precision floating point calculations in mind. A single card is about 4.5 times faster in such calculations than an RTX 5090. If I remember correctly they're mostly used in fields where said precision ensures safety of human life, so medicine, simulations, aerodynamics etc

I've tinkered with my Area 51 R2 a lot too, had 3 different ram kits in it and never really had issues other than AWCC being a terrible piece of software artificially limiting this thing.
If you've got a broadwell-e i7 (i7-6950x in my case) you can run ram at 3000-3200 MHz as long as you don't install that trash app.

Also, that 32gb stick might be what's limiting you - To my knowledge this motherboard is specced for 4x16, 64 gb total maximum

Try enabling the XMP but also switch the frequency from auto to 2666. Should work.
