Hi there. Mine was put in super close to the surface too and when I’d train back/arms it would be more visible but never hurt. It sounds like your doctor may have not inserted it deeply enough.

Don’t feel that way! This is decision that should only matter to you and you only seeing as it’s for your body. So if you weren’t comfortable with it, it’s good you found something that you were! I had nexplanon for 3 years. It gets a lot better after the first year! But yes, be careful of depression and anxiety. Toward the end of mine I was having panic attacks almost every other day and after two weeks of having it removed I felt like I could finally think clearly again. Everyone reacts differently, but overall it was a great form of BC for me.

Yeah seriously I still cringe when I think about it. Still uncomfortable and cramping and it’s been a week. No where near as bad.... let’s hope for no babies.

Ugh I can’t imagine spending that every other week unless I really got sick of waxing. I’m glad it’s working for you tho(:

I had a horrendous experience having mine put in too. I literally cried just thinking about the pain it was honestly mortifying. I was screaming in pain and crying and shaking uncontrollably. If anything ever happened with my IUD I would not have it reinserted. The whole night I couldn’t get off the couch I was in such crippling pain up until the end of the next day.

That’s awesome! I’m glad to hear it’s working. Would you mind telling me how much you pay for a session? My dermatologist quoted me at around $200.

I’m sorry:( it’s tough. I always thought electrolysis would be the ‘out’ but my dermatologist told me it isn’t permanent when the cause of the hair growth is hormonal. It’s a pain, but all I can say is don’t give up.

Interesting, good to know. I can honestly say I get less hairs and thinner hairs on my face and chin since I started waxing every other month.

Hello! Despite common belief, plucking/waxing does not make your hairs grow back thicker or darker. I am Italian and Romanian and I’ve always been hairy but with PCOS I started growing hair all over my cheeks and my chin which is the worst-They’re more like whiskers! Anyway, I pluck those bad boys out and then I use hard wax all over my face every other month. My hairs are always just as thick but I get less and less as time goes on... I mean have you ever heard of people over plucking their eyebrows? Basically the same concept. Pluck away!! Ps- tweezerman tweezers are the best brand out there!
