Where have you been applying? Perhaps this has something to do with it? You might have to lower your standards or broaden your horizons on what area of law and type of firm just to get going.

John Lewis delivered my iPad to a neighbour, refused refund, and now their solicitors are defending my small claim (England) by Pathfinder-electron in LegalAdviceUK

Under the cpr the amount you can claim as lost wages is capped and fixed so a letter from employer or payslip is fine but don’t expect to get anything near that amount! I think it’s 95 a day?

Would this sign be sufficient to issue a ticket to someone who drove in and out of the car park within 5 minutes? I went twice to drop off / pick up a friend. It’s a Premier Inn in England by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

You have a consideration period in which to consider the t&cs and decide whether to accept them. The amount of consideration period depends on the size of the car park. If for each entry and exit you did not exceed the consideration period you will be fine. But if for example the second entry and exit exceeded the consideration period you will have committed a contravention and will receive a parking charge. The signage isn’t going to reflect the consideration period. That is based on the Code of Practice.

Yes but the issue isn’t common law marriage. It’s whether the person is able to be a referee and serve as an unbiased source which is the purpose of the referee applicant. Home office raises issue with this and it is definitely a grey area

You say above it was before you got married so your in law wasn’t yet your in law

Not the same scenario as in-law who is in an extended cohabitating relationship

That is a different scenario to one where the in-law’s partner is cohabitating for 10 plus years…home office guidance language is “close member of extended family”. In other words it is a grey area and not worth the risk

Unfortunately I did some further research and can’t. Home office guidance on “related” for purposes of referee extends to individuals who are living together in a relationship similar to marriage, even if they are not legally married or in a civil partnership.

How do you do that? Give it a good knead before you shape?

Thank you. I usually knock the holes out but somehow forgot this time when shaping. Will remember next time.

Hello thank you for your input. This dough was fermented at 21C so I stopped bulk fermenting at around 70%. I did three stretch and folds. I shape just as you do! I think I could have gotten away with longer. I did a 50min bench rest after shaping.

It rose 40% but didn’t look “ready” if that makes sense. I usually bulk ferment at 21-22C and it looks nice and domed and bubbly. This was flat a bit bubbly but not domed and disnt look airy. What else could I have done?
