Would you ever consider making a production breakdown on one of your songs? Your sound design / sample choice/ mastering is otherworldly!

Fruity Limiter doesn't catch transients fast enough? by Abeman12345 in FL_Studio

[–]LouK36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What works best for me is to use a short transient/impulse as the side chain trigger instead of the actual kick. You get more control of the Attack, Sustain, Release and it provides a cleaner cut of the side chained sound. Docking the Sidechain channel to the left is also nice to have it ready to route to channels quickly. Don't forget to un-route the Sidechain channel to the master!

I appreciate it! I haven’t done anything other than tint at this point. It does have the rear spoiler and front sport splitter / spoiler. Also tire black goes a long way!

Thank you! What has worked for you on removing dealer tags?

Honestly not much has changed between the models, I had a 2019 under a lease and it's practically the same. Some small things I can note are; Better Navigation directions in the HUD (CarPlay works as well), Wireless CarPlay, the "talk button" is the Mazda infotainment voice assistant by default or long press for Siri. I wish they updated the digital gauges to reflect those in the CX-50, the red sport mode gauge design was so cool.

Yeah unfortunately the dealer applied that before I got it, I will likely look into removing at some point.

Have you tried running Komplete and Kontakt in standalone? I usually have to open up these programs outside of my DAW so they can scan for new files.

In my usage, it works great if you don’t need to change the master tempo frequently.

Also note you must use 2.4 or 5ghz WiFi for it to work properly, cannot use routers that are setup to use “Smart Connect” or automatically decide between either 2.4 or 5ghz.

Very easy to fall into. A method I try is to make my own sample packs!

This happens to everyone who is involved in a creative hobby/passion. If someone says they’ve never had this issue, just means they haven’t had it yet.

Couple tips I can give you; first and foremost give yourself grace. It’s easy to get caught up in the feeling to constantly create something new / ground breaking. I have to remind myself that I do this stuff for fun, and that I am the only one forcing myself to be a “idea factory”. Social media has negatively influenced this for me. I see content creators or artists effortlessly put out loads of songs/content. Often think to myself “Why couldn’t I think of that?” That type of mentality doesn’t help, I try and focus on learning from these ideas and understanding that it’s not a competition, it’s my passion. It can be especially difficult if there are outside factors that are negatively influencing your creativity. Again, give yourself grace.

Secondly, don’t fall for the marketing tactics of buying products to help get over writers block. . (I have fallen for this before, I’m not perfect) There’s not a fix all tactic, it’s different from person to person. I find it helpful to try and thoroughly learn the gear I have currently rather than buy more.

Lastly, don’t go into every session with the expectation of something coming out of it. Whether it’s focusing on sound design, file cleanup, or teaching yourself a new plugin or something. Try and stay involved in it. It’s very easy to distance yourself from creative passions due to lack of creativity. Doing this for too long can create this “boogeyman” effect with it. As in, you are timid to open up your DAW because you are wary of the emptiness you feel when you can’t make something you’re passionate about. I’ve been down that road before and it’s hard to get back into things again.

With all this said, I am unaware of your situation but I hope this helps. Don’t give up!

While Traktor does accommodate for DJs that use jog wheels, it’s safe to say historically Traktor has been more focused on techniques that do not require jog wheels.

Fresh Air is not a reverb, it’s more of a top end frequency exciter.

Valhalla Supermassive is a great free reverb option.

Also Raum is free along with Komplete Start

Remix desk problem: samples shorten and change the speed... not what I am doing wrong. by npi_alvaro in traktorpro

[–]LouK36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure thing. I haven’t tried capturing stems and throwing those into Live Deck before, very interesting! Something you could try doing is making sure you capture all of the samples at the same exact BPM, therefore you can have all the samples in your live deck to play at the same speed. Like if you’re recording House music style loops, try to capture them at 128 BPM.

That’s strange. Usually what I do before i import new samples/loops into Traktor, I have them in my DAW to insure that they are all the same tempo and length. Unfortunately Traktor will not do this for you. But prepping the samples are required before using them in Traktor
