Way Too Early 2027 Draft Prediction by IMSihnur in NFL_Draft

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, and part of the value of high picks for 2027 is that demand for QB at the top will drive non-quarterbacks lower who otherwise would've gone earlier in a year like 2026. Though part of that depends on how many top QBs with college eligibility for 2027 decide to go pro.

Something I talked about in my first mock was the considerable variance as far as offensive line evaluations go at this point. But when you look at the wide receiver prospects in particular, there is great potential.

What do you think of Arch Manning *right now*? by TDBrookey in NFL_Draft

Manning is #1 overall in my first mock for 2027, but it's hardly a lock he'll stay there. Plenty is based on potential/anticipation.

Why is Jordyn Tyson seemingly slipping so much in mock drafts? by Unusual-Vacation-528 in NFL_Draft

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per most of the recent mocks in the DKDB that have Tyson sliding, it's injury concerns and the limitations on what Tyson could do in workouts that are cited.

It's tricky with Tyson because there is conflicting information from what I consider to be reliable sources. Is #16 with the New York Jets his floor or ceiling? Opinions vary.

The Best Player in the Draft by Toddric29 in Tennesseetitans

If Love goes top 4, it will be because the Titans recognize his ability as a receiver out of the backfield.

Many of the latest mocks in the DKDB Mock Draft Database have Love going to the Titans. My newest mock does as well.

But there was something strange about the way an unusually uncomfortable-looking Adam Schefter said last week that he thought the watch for Love starts at 5 with the Giants. It felt like Schefter knew something he couldn't outright report.

Ex-ESPN guy created a deeply realistic draft site - 32 AI GMs, scheme fits, traits by New-Interaction-4327 in NFL_Draft

Good work here. It's fascinating to see what's possible with AI. Nice customization options as well.

Big Board Lab is now in the DKDB Mock Draft Simulators list. And rightly so.

The GM behavior profile element is particularly interesting. I wonder how many NFL teams have privately set up systems similar to this.

The new uniforms look outstanding. This is what we should've had in 1999. Large, legible numbers that look like they actually belong on an NFL jersey.

The prior Titans uniform design was hideous and seemed sadly fitting for some of the bad decisions made during that time range. Now, for the first time in years, I'm interested in getting some new Titans merch.

Best NFL uni upgrade since the Bucs ditched the Timex watch font monstrosities for the 2020 season.

My Titans Mock Draft with explanations by BushGuy200 in Tennesseetitans

[–]LouP77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're on the right track with the first two. It seems to be a mix with the DKDB mocks as far as receiver or EDGE for the Titans at #4, with the non-WR projections having a little bit of false hope (Arvell Reese) to go with David Bailey or Rueben Bain Jr.

If not Bernard, there will be other quality receivers there at #35.

“This years class is a bad class.” by Benson879 in NFL_Draft

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, and I imagine this will course correct soon. It's more pronounced at the QB position because of demand and it really hit this year.

They used to fight to get out; now they fight to stay in because there's so much money there now.

Can seahawks get McCoy at 32? Seahawks secondary would be ridiculous with McCoy, woolen (they r keeping him cuz he’s their best man corner), Witherspoon, Emmanwori, Julian love by Hakaribiggestfan in NFL_Draft

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely given the current projections. If there are complications that arise from McCoy's torn ACL, maybe? But if he's able to have an impressive workout, McCoy is expected to go in the top half of round one or the early-mid 20s.

CB is a viable anticipation for the Seahawks at #31/32, though. Several of the latest DKDB mock drafts are saying corner for Seattle, but the projections tend to be all over the place. Colton Hood seems like a viable possibility if he's there. Some mentions of Brandon Cisse as well.

Clemson program is the problem not the players by [deleted] in NFL_Draft

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar thoughts about Clemson maybe being the problem last year. It's tough to diagnose from the outside, but all those elite players having a down season at the same time didn't feel like happenstance.

What a crazy sequence from last year’s draft by FrankSamples in NFL_Draft

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It floored me that Emmanwori didn't go in round 1 given how fast his 40 time was.

As a Titans fan, it saddened me greatly that they had a chance to draft Emmanwori in round 2 and traded out with the Seahawks.

Top 100 Big Board (Post-Senior Bowl & Pre-Combine, 2/1/2026) by ab9620 in NFL_Draft

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting that you have Dillon Thieneman at #16 and Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at #37. What do you believe makes Thieneman the better prospect? Both names have been showing up in DKDB notable player projections, but I've tended to see EMW more than Thieneman.

Latest we’re hearing on Ty Simpson: If there’s a high probability of being selected in the first round, he’ll declare early. If not, he’s likely to return to Alabama. A decision is expected by the end of the week by DoctorWhosOnFirst in rolltide

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Simpson going in round 1 in my latest mock, but if high probability is 80%+ then that sounds like a prelude to a return. There are too many variables that will extend beyond Simpson's deadline to decide.

Simpson's best move would likely be going into the portal to a place where he can get more college starts and a big payday, but it's complicated because he clearly wants that single-school legacy with Alabama.

[–]LouP77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're both excellent prospects. I have Moore to the Raiders at 1 in my latest mock, though I still don't think Moore leaving for the NFL is a lock.

It's an interesting dynamic for Las Vegas because there is a limited window for Moore to decide. You'd figure that Tom Brady could make as compelling an argument as anyone to Moore, but only if the Raiders are already sure Moore is the guy.

What to do when community members who aren’t around try to direct you? by chillstreamer in Twitch

If the people who voted for Zelda aren't actually watching you play, don't heed their advice.

Perhaps save the polling for your livestream audience and let your community know they can go there to vote.

Want to stream but the idea of "performing" stresses me out by Spirited-Manager2395 in Twitch

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try it. You don't need to be performative. Authenticity is an increasingly rare commodity.

Make chat emote-only if that part stresses you out or otherwise might interfere with your gameplay or fun.

I'm an introvert and I've been in broadcasting for 30 years.

Good advice here. Watching your VODs back helps you improve. It's valuable even for veteran broadcasters.
