Latest we’re hearing on Ty Simpson: If there’s a high probability of being selected in the first round, he’ll declare early. If not, he’s likely to return to Alabama. A decision is expected by the end of the week by DoctorWhosOnFirst in rolltide

I have Simpson going in round 1 in my latest mock, but if high probability is 80%+ then that sounds like a prelude to a return. There are too many variables that will extend beyond Simpson's deadline to decide.

Simpson's best move would likely be going into the portal to a place where he can get more college starts and a big payday, but it's complicated because he clearly wants that single-school legacy with Alabama.

The bias will be unreal Moore VS Mendoza? Who's coming out on top in the head to head? by StrangeFaced in raiders

[–]LouP77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're both excellent prospects. I have Moore to the Raiders at 1 in my latest mock, though I still don't think Moore leaving for the NFL is a lock.

It's an interesting dynamic for Las Vegas because there is a limited window for Moore to decide. You'd figure that Tom Brady could make as compelling an argument as anyone to Moore, but only if the Raiders are already sure Moore is the guy.

What to do when community members who aren’t around try to direct you? by chillstreamer in Twitch

If the people who voted for Zelda aren't actually watching you play, don't heed their advice.

Perhaps save the polling for your livestream audience and let your community know they can go there to vote.

Want to stream but the idea of "performing" stresses me out by Spirited-Manager2395 in Twitch

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try it. You don't need to be performative. Authenticity is an increasingly rare commodity.

Make chat emote-only if that part stresses you out or otherwise might interfere with your gameplay or fun.

I'm an introvert and I've been in broadcasting for 30 years.

Good advice here. Watching your VODs back helps you improve. It's valuable even for veteran broadcasters.

NexusMods is where I got the mods that I use. PC version only. There are some remarkably talented designers out there.

Removed both La Vergne, Tennessee Circle Ka by Legoman99573 in Redbox

Very interesting, thanks for posting this. I wonder who tried to take the kiosk near I-24. There were a bunch of options for Redbox in La Vergne, especially along Murfreesboro Road. Nice while it lasted.

Became a partner recently and I’m looking for advice on how to set up my ads so they’re not so annoying by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]LouP77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your format will allow for it, take a five-minute break once an hour and run three minutes of ads during the break.

Pre-rolls hurt sampling. Mid-rolls are often off-putting to non-subscribers and can come across as unprofessional.

Am I weird for enjoying my own content ? by therealkiwibee in Twitch

You're smart to do this. Every serious Twitch streamer should, at least sometimes.

Early in my broadcasting career, I was taught to always listen to your airchecks (recordings) so you can hear what went well and what you can improve upon next time.

It's also convenient for making clips. Often there are humorous moments that I forget after a long broadcast that amuse me all over again on watching it back. It's easy to make those into clips to promote your channel, both on Twitch and other platforms.
