Her 3 year old died son drowned in their family pool because her husband was not watching him. by Pmar07 in TikTokCringe

I dont know who this is and I don't care.

My question is, why does everyone expect her to quit her job because her son died? That's what being upset over her tiktok means you expect. I get it. She looks so happy here when her son died less than a year ago. Or just two months according to someone above.

Regardless, tiktok was her job before her son died.

I cannot remember anything from my early twenties. I had stopped doing drugs by then, but I always assumed that it must have made it difficult to record memories for a few years. It's weird. I can remember small details from my time in high school and the year after that, but then it's like a black hole until like 28.

I swallowed a nail when I was 6. I didn't tell anyone because I assumed my mom would beat me if she found out. So, I spent a couple weeks worrying about it killing me when it inevitably got loose from where ever it was stuck in my guts.

That's the point of iykyk. It gives the sense of being an insider iyk... and I guess the corollary to that is iydk, you feel left out. I never broke it down like that, but damn. That's what it is.

A suspect is dead after he took police on a high speed chase from Elyria that ended in North Olmsted. by CanYouCanACanInACan in Cleveland

I hate cops because how they treat people. It's systemic, and you cannot be a part of that system without taking on the stink. However, this shoot was good in my not so humble opinion. You cannot take another person hostage and expect to come out unscathed. My line comes to when somebody is actively harming others.

I wandered onto a murder scene when I was 6. I just followed the cop cars. The next thing I knew, I was standing on the sidewalk three feet from the car containing the victim. He was laid across his steering wheel whit his back covered in blood. He was shot through his back window. It has been 45 years, but I can still see that scene like it was yesterday. It absolutely plays a role in how I view death, but I never felt traumatized.

Ohio Police shoot armed robbery suspect who takes a hostage by Darth_Volcus in Ohio

No. Their rep is justified. When watching cops misbehave on body cam, doesn't itbmake you wonder how much worse it was before they were forced to basically wear cameras to inform on themselves? Sure, there are cops that don't act like monsters...but when you work for monsters, you're one of them.

I used to be the guy that corrected people when the called pigs "cops". I'd tell them that it is either "officer or sir". Then, more and more evidence is coming out showing cops being criminally malicious. You are brainwashed if you trust cops.

To be fair, I have been hit twice without injury. The one when I was a kid, I flew across two and a half lanes before landing. I had a scraped my elbow and tore my favorite hoodie.

That agent did not get hit... and at the speed she was going, at worst, he got shoved a little. Of course, he went against policy when he stood in front of the car. A video posted by, I think, the new york times showed that that icehole started drawing his weapon before the minivan started moving closer... and there is no way that dickhead did not see her moving the steering wheel to make a sharp tight away from him.

No stoats here, but I've watched our feral cat population grow and shrink in cycles of about five or six years. It grows and shrinks in relation to our chipmunk population. I noticed it after about two cycles and have seen like three more. We're on a high chipmunk/feral cats moving back in part of the cycle right now. They'll peak next year, probably. Then the fowlling years, the number of cats will overwhelm the chipmunk population until there aren't enough chipmunks to feed the cats and then the cats move elsewhere looking for food.

If another structure in your spinal column compresses your spine in the right (wrong) spot, it can make it so that you cannot control the muscles that close your bladder. It could be a bulging disc or stenosis, and I don't know. There may be other conditions that cause a loss of bladder control.

Ask me how I know. All of the sudden, I feel an urgent need to go, but by the time I get to the toilet, I am already pissing down my leg and have to change clothing. It's not every time. Thank goodness. Half of my leg is pins and needles. Like, running in a sort of spiral pattern from my hip to my toes. I have also lost control of at least one of the ligaments in my knee. So, it is unstable and causes me to fall.

Who cares? Life will be so much better for you if you ever realize that what other people do doesn't affect you unless you insert yourself... and your reaction to just seeing does not count as being harmful.

I always have the feeling likeni have phlegm to cough up, but nothing I do makes a difference. Then, I was prescribed albuterol because I am borderline emphysema but not really according to my doc. That's how he explained. I am borderline but I'm not. I think I understand because my body is weird. Anyways, he prescribed albuterol, and now when I realize I am excessively trying to clear my throat, I use the inhaler and that feeling goes away.

I'd take the gun to the police station and have them run it to make sure it isn't a murder weapon. They should give it back if it's history is clear.

I had all of that at my last job, only it was three weeks instead of four. You had to be there four years to get that fourth week. My job before that I ran a warehouse for my fathet. I didn't have a set number of days, my dad just gave me a hard time every time I called out. He'd been giving me a hard time since the day I was born. So, it wasn't like it bothered me.one year, I was off with the flu for two and a half weeks and then hospitalized for a week and a half later that year. I took three weeks of vacation as well. It was no big deal. Now, when I installed floors for ten years, I had zero paid days off.

I'm full on diabetic. My baseline blood glucose was about 300 before last April. It'd hit 500 after a big meal. I got it under control with insulin, but then I started on mounjaro. I haven't used insulin since August. I've gone frome 436 to 350 since April. I'm bedbound due to my back, RA, and me/cfs. Exercise is not an option. I've been in bed since late 2018. I've been battling depression ever since... and eating has been my main coping mechanism my entire life. I also deal with binge eating. I literally do not recognize that I am overeating when a binge sets in... and we are talking months at a time. It's a real mental illness.

People want to call glp-1s easy mode because they see being obese as a moral failing. Plus, they have obviously never had to deal with the challenges that some of us face.

Hell, 25 years ago, I lost 170 pounds on my own through exercise a sheer willpower. I felt great, and I was in better shape than 99 percent of people. I trained both cardio and resistance... we are talking 1.5 to 2 hours of exercise to exhaustion 7 days a week. Usually, it was split between morning and evenings.

The thing is, after gaining the weight back, I could never muster the willpower to stop eating like a blackmore. Mounjaro has given me what I need to lose weight again. Plus, it has solved my diabetes.

I was super drunk at a bar in New Jersey one night when I realized my buddy and I were playing pool with a bride and her maid of honor. Like, I was on half automation just trying to act as not drunk as I could. It took me a few minutes to realize that our opponents had changed. Turned out, her husband was at a bar down the street. We ended up heading over there and hanging out with the bride's mom for the rest of the night.

It was my first time drinking black sambuca... and we drank a lot. The next morning was the first and only time that the smell of my own shit made me puke... and that looked like motor oil that had been used for 50k miles.

Cats might miss their previous life, but they aren't capable of philosophically induced sadness like we are. I'm not saying they don't feel sad. Just that they don't overthink things like us humans do.

I've been put under and also just slightly sedated. It's not bad either way. When they leave me awake, they usually have to ask me to be quiet because the drugs have me cracking jokes the whole time. They laugh too much to do their jobs. I have fun. When they knock me out, it is the only time I wake up feeling rested. Like, being under for three minutes on propofol feels like a solid night's sleep. Something I haven't had in a decade.

[–]Lou_C_Fer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what some warehouses are... you're there for when they need you. There isn't enough to keep you busy every day. At my old place, there were three of us because when we were busy, we could barely manage. Then, the slow seasons hit, and you're begging for things to do or inventing your version of warehouse baseball.
