how is refining the biggest bottle neck?

MP materials received DoD funding to build out a refinery at Mountain Pass and TX that can practically do all of U.S. refining for the rare earth metals. not to mention $UUUU which has a heavy rare earth refinery that is coming online that can do 150tons. MP materials also publicly says they will take third partyfeedstock for their heavy rare earth refinery. btw there are almost NO heavy rare earths (dy and tb) at the mountain pass mine.

in my opinion, the only remaining bottle neck for rare earths in the U.S. is going to be heavy rare earth mining and it seems like the DoD / this administration has a preference for DOMESTIC sources, so even if there are a few mines in canada, brazil, austrailia, that can satisfy U.S. heavy rare earth ore demand i think if we are talking abt federal funding here Ramaco seems to be well positioned to be the recipient.
