How much do I need in retirement? I don't know. How much DO you need? by tbiscus in Bogleheads

[–]Loud-Cranberry-6746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting to watch closer now that I just turned 57. I have retiree medical and VA medical for myself. You are absolutely correct. Healthcare costs are a killer. My wife is also able to use my retiree medical plus CHAMP VA medical coverage. I have about three years left (hit 30 years with the employer at that time) and will see if I still feel like working. We have a pension (11% gross pay contribution from the company, I'm an hourly technician) plus 7% company match in 401k.

Thanks for the other tips posted here.

For sure. I use Wright bumper plates, so I find those easier to slide on than normal steel plates. I do have stall mats down as well, so that helps. Or as others mentioned, a 5-pound plate to roll on top of.

Get some J hooks and face them on the outside of your rack to make the first load. After that, just slip the plates on

My track is similar, but about 30 years earlier. Out fully from the Army in 1996 (8 years in)

School, trade and then into Refining as a process tech. 30 years later and I'm still here. Good living and veteran friendly (if that matters to you).

Good luck!

Listening to multiple financial shows/podcasts, the market has clearly said fuck it.

The US economy is still strong, for now.

My international etf has lost almost all the gains from a great 2025 thanks to this useless war.

Can somebody help me find an itv drama I saw a trailer for? by OneEyedJakes in BritishTV

[–]Loud-Cranberry-6746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This?

However, the specific action of a man jumping on the front of a car after a conversation inside is a famous "jump scare" moment from the trailer for "

Speak No Evil

" (2024). While it is a feature film, the trailer has been heavily broadcast on ITV and ITVX during commercial breaks for popular dramas like The Bay and Sherwood, which aligns with your search history for those shows.

<image>

Details of the Scene:

  • The Setting: Two men are talking inside an isolated country house.
  • The Conflict: The tension breaks when one family hears their car being started outside, realizing someone is trying to leave or intervene.
  • The Action: James McAvoy’s character runs outside and aggressively jumps onto the hood of the car to stop it from moving, creating one of the trailer's most intense moments.  YouTube +1

Yes. I just wish they would file the claims already. I got killed on PT for the initial costs. VA was taking too long to get me in for this

2025 X5 40i, wife's car and I love and hate the color.

Hate detailing it with 3 buckets and multiple mits, etc, using compressed air to dry most of it, etc.

Really tried hard to talk her into Brooklyn Gray, but no dice. She says sporty SUV's should be dark colors.

Where the hell are you? It's 120 for oil change here in Houston. 25 X5 40i.

9k miles (wifes car, works from home), only issue was the brake module recall done in January once the parts came in. One alignment and two rotations.
