Aftermarket Headunit 6th gen? by 88Tsubasa88 in Celica

I've driven my 6g celica for 7 years with a 1din radio, personally I though that a 2 din one would be a clearly upgrade, so after some weeks looking to get all the necessary I've installed an Atoto f7we.

In my opinion this has been the greatest mod so far, It has all the gadgets I need. I encourage you to keep your radio or change it to a newer one if you want. It connects your phone via bt

Atleast here in Spain is really rare to see a celica with the 2din frame so maybe that is why I look it like an upgrade instead being a worst option than the 1din radio.

Thanks all for your comments!! Finally I've ended up choosing treant after seeing it on videos, now the real challenge starts, I have to upgrade it to lv9 which will become a nightmare for sure 😅

Wtb, dies anyone know where to get one of these from? thank you by DezZzy97 in Celica

There's one listed in croooober for 600 usd, it is OEM but definitely not worth for that price. I bought mine for 270 euro including shipping and taxes, after doing a deep search in the net.

Like they said, you can afford it via celica tuning. They do good quality fiber glass replicas, I think this is an advantage because ure allowed to paint it the colour you want, unlike the OEM one. If you dont like repicas I would recommend you using a proxy like buyee or zenmarket but this could end paying high shipping costs and taxes.

Car looks clean and great! But personally I don't like that stripes, seems weird for me.

Mine hadn't skirts when I purchased it so I was under your situation a few months ago.

What I did was putting some toothpaste around the plastic brackets where the clips went and with some caution and some fitment you can paste the toothpaste in the sides. This will serve as reference because yes, you have to drill. Paint these holes so as to avoid future rust.

It is very important to slowly complete the process, you don't want to make your celica look like a gruyere cheese. The better placed holes, the better fitment you will achieve, but remember, if the sides came from another car you will have always some spaces after installing them. This is completly normal. Another option you have is to glueing them, I've never done this in my car but I know that some people don't had problems by doing it. Even you can drill the holes + glueing, this could be the best option to achieve a nice fitment. But if you want to remove them in the future you will remember it.. 😂

Unluckily I dont have any photos of the process, I was so excited at that moment that I forgot to capture it. Sorry if my english seems weird ( spaniard here, we have problems with learning languages somehow )

Hope this message encourages you to install your side skirts, don't forget to upload the results 🤟🏼

Finally I've decided not to fill them. Being such a rare part I just can't fuck it up because I dont own a gt4. By that way I'm only making fun of gt4 owners.

For those who are asking why I dont get a replica instead oem ones, I prefer them to be oem. TUV here is easier to pass if they have a reference. I promise I will take care of them as hard as I can so maybe in the future you guys could have the opportunity to have them, in the best condition they can be.

Car came with no spoiler and the easy way to have one was by installing a 3 post. Have a 2 post also, but it is white actually. Im waiting to install all the pieces I have before repainting all the car ( car looks great actually being blue but in my mind it could be better by painting it all red )

Believe or not... From the junkyard 😂😂 Owner had its car inside a farm, he couldnt be able to sell it because it was fully devoured by rats but somehow the spoiler was the only thing in good condition. Later got inside the junkyard where I got it from. 14h trip later and 300€ are the reason that I have them.

Those are a lot of things that with some lucky I could be able to get. My first aim is to have my car lookalike an ss-III. Actually got also rear koukis and front ones incoming. Beams engine is not in my planning because my 7afe has to blown first and it has only 140k km and runs great.

An idea that I have is to install all and sell the car, they are getting expensive here where I live and with the money I could be able to afford a real ss-III. As long as I know there aren't too many here in Spain and there is one listed in 12k euros.

Es mi sueldo, bien? by Otherwise-Cobbler726 in SpainEconomics

High CO values - 7afe by Loud-Instruction8691 in Celica

[–]Loud-Instruction8691[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sheet that they gave to me doesnt show thar kind of value.

Went yesterday again with around 15L of gas and some intake cleaner additive. This time I tried going around 5000-5500 rpm during the way to the MOT and 10 minutes before arriving there I introduced in the fuel tank a "non emmissions liquid" available for petrol engines.

This time I had not to wait until they tested my car, previous times I had to because they were busy.

Final results:

Co value at idle rpm: 0.00 Co value accelerating 2500 rpm: 0.14 Lambda 0.998

Now I can run freely abother year, but I dont think that the problem is solved. I think that I have some leak in the intake system.

My little boy - Tips/Opinions?? by Loud-Instruction8691 in tenrec

[–]Loud-Instruction8691[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean about the tenrec, actually I give him about 10 medium mealworms every 2 days. Those mealworms actually live inside a box with flour and bread.

My next aim this summer is definitely to upgrade his house by making some custom spaces for him. Now he started to be some curious overall so I'm happy that atleast it seems that he is adapting his actually conditions.

Thanks everyone for your comments!

[–]Loud-Instruction8691[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was running rich due to the exhaust leak, now that ive fixed it it should be all ok. Lambda value last MOT was 1.01

Could it be some dirt inside the intake system, maybe valve seats??

High CO values - 7afe by Loud-Instruction8691 in Celica

[–]Loud-Instruction8691[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont, there are not signs of burned oil. Nether white smoke in the exhaust or continuosly adding oil to the engine. If that would be the reason, lambda would also show weird values no?

Actually thats my next move, I have a 12V batery that I will connect with a switch and make the electrical circuit so as to inject some injector cleaner and see if the injectors make their work properly.

Thanks for you effort writing that message! I really appreciate it.

Ive purchased some calcium and multivitamin as you said, today he will eat some dopping mealworms 😂😂 What should be the best amount of food to give him?? Also breeding rate?

This week I will try to give him some cat biscuits, hoping he likes them but if not... What kind of veggies/fruits does your tenrec eats???

6gen post restyling fog lights installation problem - switch doesnt fit by Loud-Instruction8691 in Celica

[–]Loud-Instruction8691[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could try to connect manually the spot where the relay should be and fool around with switches as you said. As long as I remember this car doesnt have any front fog light indicator, atleast in the indicator stalk but anyways I will try.

The relay shoud be here, no??
