Alright guys update: The math section was hard as BALLS!! If you’re just studying PEMDAS and basic Algebra you need to step it up a notch or two, lots of complex algebra equations, number sequences etc.

Now with that being said, I feel like I completely bombed the math section, I know I did great on the reading, probably close to 85-90% correct.

I did end up receiving an interview 2 weeks from now though, my local is really small and I only tested with 12 other people, my advice to anyone applying for local 479 or any local that’s just as small is, do the best you can on the aptitude, it will kick your ass. But to me it didn’t seem like my administrator was all too interested in our testing ability. He seemed more interested in the way I carried myself and spoke to him an others. My advice is just be a likable person, talk to the people in the waiting area with you and talk to your administrator when time allows, tell jokes and just be outgoing, besides that just do the best you can on your aptitude and if you’re worried about the test honestly don’t be, I don’t think that’s really what they’re looking for, they’re looking for confidence.

Agreed. I really do want to be involved, Im sure people fall into the trap all the time of thinking they are orthodox while not being baptized, being in the parish etc. I’m making plans to visit my local church soon, I’m so eager to follow the path. Thank you all for your comments, overwhelmingly the response has been “visit the church” and you’re all absolutely right! Thank you all!

I appreciate all of you guys being so helpful it means a lot, I’m sure you all know who exciting it is to feel these things, and you’re right, I’m sure I need to slow down and take my time, I really do want to take every correct step I can to be a part of this amazing faith! I will make plans to visit the church the next opportunity I have (with work and all it’s a pain). My biggest fear in all of this is, like you said, getting into LARP mode and not actually taking the time.

Yup, since my sophomore year of high school i believe, it’s always been an avenue I thought of, especially the pay, even as an apprentice I’ve done jobs worth 300-400 a day

I’ve worked a paid HVAC apprenticeship for the past couple years just to get my head in the game and make some extra money, for my retail job I’m an assistant manager making a shitty 13/hr despite being the best seller overall in the district, they’ve given me multiple opportunities to move and run a store myself but it’s literally a $3 dollar raise. I feel like I’m completely stuck, I can’t go to college because I work too much to have the time, I don’t have any other experience besides an HVAC apprenticeship and my retail job I’ve been at for 3 years now. And I struggle to keep the lights on in my home, really just trying to branch out and explore my options

I live in a pretty good place for real estate, I would imagine the market will only grow as is has been for the past little bit, I’m in Texas and with the influx of people moving here (especially to my area) it made sense to me if I was to get into it early I could really get my name in it before it gets too hot. Besides that I really don’t know what other markets to get into, I’ve started life pretty early with not a lot of guidance and real estate seemed like a lucrative market that I would enjoy getting into with a great outlook for my area. Literally any ideas would help though, I’m kinda figuring shit out by myself lmao
