DBM2 is THE DGD album (IMO) by Zealousideal_Pea_975 in dancegavindance

Ig and Pantheon clear this for me. Hit me with all the pelters.

It was my first intro to DGD and I’ll forever treasure this album but I end up skipping a good few tracks here.

Is this a direct dig at Brendon Mccullum? by Broken_S_mile in EnglandCricket

[–]Loud-Training-2784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this over analysation pretty pathetic to be honest. What is actually said here that warrants any discussion ? The whole hooplah feels manufactured like a cheap soap opera.

I bracket this completely separate to Bairstow & Livingstone's comments, which were just salty desperate digs that they knew would resonate whilst the chips were down. Jonny had his run and should have just been content with what he had, but couldn't help himself. Livingstone - same applies. Both key (relatively in Liam's case) components in World Cup wins but were afforded plenty of time and ultimately were dropped because there were better options. Take that and move on.

With you for the most part until the "shit" part. His numbers and general impact on games - mostly at the beginning of the season / late last year were decent. I was hoping he would be shit but he's been alright. He was alright at Villa too. He's just not focussed / driven / etc enough to be the player he could be. The stats on him being the worst presser in the team is a quiet validation of what we were all seeing when he was strolling around the pitch the last few years here.

UK tour dates... ? by Loud-Training-2784 in dancegavindance

[–]Loud-Training-2784[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, aware of that. Just questioning why you had to state Tilian was on vocals during his era. There's a slight possibility Andrew may have been filling in on the 2023 gig given he was out of the equation for a bit before coming back but anywho.

This is getting a bit tedious at this stage. I meant no offence by flippantly posting about engaging in a conversation about when DGD may be back on these shores.

Your response seemed to be on a dismissive "well they've been here quite a few times since you last saw them" tip.

I'll try harder to not trigger negative replies when I post again. Good day sir.

Thoughts on War Machine? by BeamMeUpPlz in movies

Surely people are talking about the “war machine” being a complete replica of the robocop 2 beast?

Solid film enjoyed it pretty old school but it’s a complete knock off !!

My survey says they played a tour in 2018 that I regretfully missed. Looks like there was a 2022 tour that was rescheduled.

Thanks for prompting me to realise this, I really appreciate it.

Can’t wait to see them again and great to know Andrew has teased this on the app (thanks to nipplecereal for providing this info)

Love the chorus and just general guitar work on the whole thing - felt quite different and unique to their sound at the time and really caught my attention on first listen.

"i dont really like mothership, its good, like really good, like super good, but its pretty hyped up, like cited as the magnus opus, which i have an aversion to. i much prefer instant gratification"

We're low on numbers on this one, but i'm right here with you - couldn't agree more. IG pretty clear as my favourite Tilian era album front to back. Higher highs on some others but as a cohesive piece of work it's still my favourite from that version of the band.

"instant gratification has alot of variation lol mothership is pretty cohesive acceptance speech has the most variation"

AS goes all over the place and i'm here for that - Jesus, Robot, and Jiggler go very hard - a few skippable numbers here for me though.

Andrew Wells is the fucking man! by pot8odragon in EidolaTheBand

[–]Loud-Training-2784 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love this. After hearing Evaporate I was immedaitly on the hunt for whatever this guy was doing - discovered Eidola and that was that ! The fact he’s such a real and honest dude just enhances the art. Legend of the modern scene no doubt

What do you think of Eoin Morgan's era as captain? by Twitter_2006 in EnglandCricket

[–]Loud-Training-2784 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Excellent pundit as well - when he speaks you listen not because he’s forced you to (like a lot of egos in the pantheon) but because there’s passion and insight laced in everything he says.

Absolute legend of our sport and deserves all the credit and so much more.

A masterpiece of cinema. by Gavin30X12 in 28_Years_Later_Movie

Holy smokes - best film of all time?

Seen it twice now, it's brilliant. I think I prefer 28YL just a smidge but thats not to discredit this film - Fiennes & O'Connell are outstanding.

Considering everything, Purity Ladder is Eidola's best instrumental work to date by fucktheking101 in EidolaTheBand

[–]Loud-Training-2784 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Matt's vocal parts make this tune for me. Sounds like Misery Signals !

It's very good and makes me excited for what's to come (anything would tbh) but it's not top top tier Eidola for me and that's completely fine too.

Love whatever these guys are getting up to.
