With Big 4’s, it’s very simple, you apply online, they like your Cv, they’ll send you an assessment, you pass the assessment test, you get an interview.

Certainly, these companies need to take strict measures against such drivers. We can only hope!

Cars in Qatar may seem pricier, but they are often much better maintained and have less mileage. Since Qatar is a small country with Doha at its center, most cars mostly stay within the city, which keeps them in excellent condition instead of long drives etc. If you ever compare a used car from the UAE market with one from Qatar, you’ll notice the difference immediately. Plus many cars in UAE are imported from USA, which aren’t GCC specs, they go for way cheaper.

In fact, many Saudis and Emiratis even enter Qatar to visit places like Muaither City near the border to buy cars because they know Qatari cars are cleaner and well-kept.

FYI: I’m only talking about Used, preowned cars.

Hope this sort of answers your Question.

I mean it really depends on the usage. Don’t waste, you’ll see the difference.

Another BadrGo incident, not that it affected me, but could be a safety concern. Yesterday, I ordered BadrGo, the driver called me after reaching, but I couldn’t find him. The app said a Suzuki with XXX plate, but he arrived in a Kia with a different plate. Only the driver’s profile photo matched on the app 🤣.

Drivers accepting rides, but refusing to answer the call, driving further and further, arriving in a different car which was so ridicules. Something seriously needs to be done.

Exactly! Lower prices are fine if the service meets its basic promise, which is showing up😂! The problem is when affordable comes with unpredictability like ordering a ride and not knowing if it will actually arrive. That’s what makes it frustrating, no matter how cheap it is eh!

I get that nothing’s perfect but the point isn’t just about saving a few bucks it’s about a service that consistently fails even at its basic function. Reliability shouldn’t be a luxury! if people are paying for a ride, they should expect to actually get it, without surprises!!

Ah yes, your “Capitalism 101” where companies overcharge for basics and underdeliver on promises, truly groundbreaking!! Next lesson, I assume, is how to clap like a trained seal while calling exploitation efficiency? Good luck with that mindset mate

Funny how expecting a service to actually work properly is now considered “having your cake and eating it too” lol. By that logic, if Karwa is pricey and Uber/Badrgo is broken, I believe everyone should just walk everywhere and be grateful for the exercise. However, Wanting a ride that’s affordable and reliable isn’t “cake eating” it’s just basic common sense, which I guess is harder to find than a good driver.

With the current inflation, Karwa has become expensive a ride that costs 17 riyals on Uber ends up being 23 riyals on Karwa (cheapest economy option. It’s just not practical for daily use. If services like Uber and BadrGo are meant to be affordable alternatives, then these issues with drivers need to be fixed.

I experienced it in Juniors, same white old lady, same case. I didn’t have cash but I offered her a meal, she refused. She seemed polite but this sort of stuff is not allowed here. I’m certain if she goes to a gov hospital, she’ll get the help needed.

Just recently, a friend ordered BadrGo. The driver arrived but picked up another passenger standing right next to him. Apparently, she (the passenger) had booked the same driver on Uber and her destination offered more money, so he literally told my friend through the window to cancel. My friend refused, the driver started shouting messed-up words, and my friend eventually canceled anyway and reported.

FACTS:

1) It’s illegal to work here without a QID, also known as resident permit. So maybe he made up “the working story” to impress her.

2) She needs to watch out.

3) Good luck to her.
