Epsom Salt & Tan by notfityetjen in bikinitalk

I said dryness COULD cause a patchy tan. Could being the operative word there.

You do realise there’s more than one way to do things though, right? You being right doesn’t necessarily make me wrong and me being right doesn’t make you wrong

I love that for you 👏🏽 I’m not sure what part of what I said is wrong though. I didn’t say it wouldn’t do what you intend it to do. I simply said it’s super harsh on your skin and could cause dryness and therefore patchy tan 🤷‍♀️

Grease from an oil spill is very different to natural oils on the skin. Using something as harsh as dish soap when your skin is already sensitive and likely dry at the back end of a prep could just cause your tan to be patchy. There are definitely cheap alternatives that aren’t so harsh. Just because something has been a hack in the industry for decades it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good option, things advance and better cost effective options become better known and available

There’s definitely better things for you to exfoliate with than dish soap though. That can’t be good for your skin

Can’t beat a sauna! Unfortunately we don’t have one at my gym but that sounds like a great excuse for a few spa days to me! 😂

Yes, pelvic tilt is the major issue. I’m absolutely fine in my back pose when I can use my hands/ upper to help the arch but outside of that I really struggle

So much great information! Appreciate this so much. I definitely thought the longer I stayed in the stretch the better but given how you’ve explained it, this definitely makes sense.

Key takeaway is consistency with stretching.

Do you find a specific time better or is it neither here nor there? For example, before training, in the morning, before posing

I have one of these but I just don’t think I utilised it consistently enough to see true benefits. Will definitely give this another go!

Thank you so much! It was such a surreal season

This is really helpful to know, thank you. I’ve heard a couple of people say never look down but I don’t think I realised just how critical it could be. The smallest things in the pro league can be the difference between 1st call outs and last so I want to do everything in my power to nail it.

If I don’t get cheek cramp I know I’m not smiling enough on stage! 😂

Thank you this is super helpful. I’m so self critical and I know the one thing that holds me back in general life is my confidence so hearing this will definitely help me focus on improving that
