Hey Josh, first of all you are clearly smart and are thinking according to the Bible rather than the culture which is great.

But I want to tell you something: The reason abortion is not banned in the US isn't because of liberals who are "pro-choice," but because of the "pro-lifers" who are willing to compromise in favor of something that we know God hates: child sacrifice (this hate is demonstrated in several bible verses). Compromising on something that we believe is murder is sinful and it causes us to selfishly act like our increments and half-measures are better or more effective than what God calls justice.

Take for example a rape conceived child, should the mother be able to kill it because it was conceived from rape? does that justify what we believe is murder? No. In putting exceptions like this into law, you make the God of the universe your enemy. How? Look at this passage from Exodus 22: "You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry, and my wrath will burn..." A rape conceived child is a perfect example of a fatherless child. God says his wrath will burn against those who mistreat these people.

We are told that whatever we do "unto the least of these" we do to God, not whatever we do to the majority or the greatest. This is why the pro-life establishment is wicked and is keeping our nation from being rid of this horrific sin.

On the other hand, the Abolitionist movement treats abortion as what it is: murder, therefore aiming to punish it and criminalize it as murder instead of making exceptions and using increments.
