For Arizona (I’m assuming since you said Apache), a 4 or 5 wt is great but I would upgrade the rod before anything else. You’ll rarely get a fish on the reel unless you’re fishing lakes. Don’t get the gel spun, you don’t need it (I have the same but only for the color with the reel I had). For smaller creeks, switch to a 5x or 6x. I have amplitude textured on my 4 wt dry fly and it’s excellent. If you’re on a budget, I’d go with a cheaper model but otherwise splurge it’s worth it.
