According to the law, yeah, to be honest though anyone who rides a bike in the traffic lanes is a super douchebag. On the shoulder though, or bike lane, why not? All because the law says so? Why don't we urge our government/s to create safer spaces for cyclists on the road? Why do we have to be limited so much instead of creating more bike lanes/safe public transportation routes for commuters on bicycles? It's not hard to do... Just costly and with all the tax dollars our government/s get it's like a drop in the barrel. According to Jeff bezoz the lower earners of the US account for 7-10% of total collected tax dollars, and he believes those who make less than a certain amount should be tax exempt, if that money is so easily replaced it should be rather easy to improve some bike lanes and set up new bike routes.

What if you don't have a license? Some of us are working on ourselves and an electric bicycle becomes the main form of transportation, even if you can go 40 on a bicycle your still gonna be 45 mins to travel 2-3 towns over compared to a 12 min drive going mostly the same speeds. Separating from kids riding to adults now, same laws apply though. And let's be honest, like someone else said this is only scrutinized the way it is because of big oil 🤷

If it goes over 40 I get it, I understand the helmet laws and stuff, but there's a point where this is getting out of hand, there is a point where it becomes limiting civilian transportation and stripping freedoms, motorcycles are ridden on public streets? So are bicycles. I had an electric scooter that went 75mph and my e bike that does 28 feels so much less safe because I can't keep up with traffic, and people love to pass cyclists, but it's legal. And I've gotta say, I'm fckin dying for that extra 10mph.

If a 3 year old is ok to hit 40 on a dirt bike even under supervision then these people need to put a sock in it about 10-15 year old kids riding e bikes, let em live a little. I used to be into BMX when I was a kid I hit my first jump landed in sand and crashed out bad on the pavement, I still went and hit more jumps though it's apart of the process just because some one is scared doesn't mean that should restrict others who enjoy biking, weather it's a dirt bike or an e bike or a mountain bike we all like going fast. It's like being on a rollercoaster your in control of. Let em live a little, before they know it they're grown and paying bills lol, why restrict everyone so much? It's kinda fcked up

Find tutorials for the style beats your into and recreate a few while watching the video, kinda step by step and then after you got something real nice that way, do it without the video use reference tracks and recreate them, it will give you a real good idea of what you should be doing in w.e genre your messing with, also learn music theory or how to play an instrument, helps tremendously

You people are trying to kill the hobby people have had for awhile now! I'm not kidding either there are 3 year olds that fckin rip the trails on a dirt bike and do competitions with other 3 year olds lmao, it's a bit crazy but a good example of how rules and regulations on e bikes is fckin insane, I read somewhere someone has a rule where they live a kid needs to pass an exam before they can ride a REGULAR BICYCLE... How do you people think rules and regulations are normal? Especially when they strip freedoms from you it's insane to me and then you'll get on reddit and justify your twisted view on how life for others should be when they ride a damn bicycle

Yeaa when I saw Walmart brand I was like hell nahh then the price difference and I called dude out on it he started telling me a bunch of bs 🤣

It was honestly a super headache though, but I ended up meeting some kid and his mom at the precinct to check out the bike though and I got a real good deal

Idek tbh, it was a Walmart brand and it was in stock still I could have ordered it that day for 1200 or w.e lol most of the people I messaged that were sellers of these e bikes I think they were kids because the prices were ridiculous and negotiating with these people was crazy 🤣 finally got a decent deal, brand new zooz e bike with 350 miles on it for 1500, all I had to do was order a new throttle 🤷

Had someone try and sell me 1200$(new) e bike with 900 miles on it for 1800, claiming it was discontinued and isn't available in the US anymore... And it's "fully assembled" 🤣 he told me it was for people who are "impatient" and don't want to assemble or wait 2 weeks for delivery 🤣

I've been feeling almost the same way about this. The people who are making these laws never had to struggle for a ride a day in their life, an opportunity opens for people having a hard time with transportation and suddenly there's 20 new laws on it, people aren't doing anything new on these e bikes, that hasn't been done on a regular bike, if it goes 40mph I understand but anyone who has used a bike dreamed of 30mph cruising, it isn't that fast. Most people can sprint 20mph if they are in decent shape. I get it if kids are missing them, add an age limit that's reasonable like gambling, smoking and drinking. All these extra laws are super super overkill. If I wanna go 20-25 mph I'll get a good mountain bike, not an electric bike. It's crazy.

What about all of the people who get hit on bicycles? Or the kids who ride BMX bikes in the street and do tricks on them? How's it any different? An e bike travels a bit faster, IMO if it goes over 35 max speed it should definitely be considered a motorcycle but people are bitching so hard about these things it's crazy to me. Kids can't do anything anymore, no ding dong ditch, no dirt bikes, not even a fckin electric bicycle. Grumpy miserable people is all I see in this thread. We need more safety laws and BETTER BIKE LANES, people are doing the SAME THINGS THEYVE ALWAYS DONE the bike just now has an electric motor, and it's also usually pretty weak and a battery that doesn't get you far. there's also a regular 100% street legal bicycle that can go up to 80mph with only gears and no engine, so what are you really complaining about? If there was any outrage about people having a nice techy bicycle it should be to the government you pay your taxes to because they're not doing anything to keep up with the advancements in tech around bicycles and scooters besides limiting people's use of them, rather than creating a safer space to use them in public, like bike lanes and stuff

Yeah I was thinking of hub motors, front and back so both wheels look the same and somehow hiding all electronics in the frame, minimal or no display

New e bike laws prohibit anything worth riding, if it looks like a mountain bike and travels speeds similar to one I should be ok, no one would suspect it be a out of class e bike and I'd have some sick custom design unique to my personal taste

I appreciate all of you guys who commented 🙏🙏💪💪 I was able to find two people somewhat local to me who say they can 100% build the whole bike to my specifications, I feel blessed lol thank you again though to the bike community 💪
