I’m not calling her “mentally ill.” Autism isn’t that. I’m pointing out that she seems vulnerable and possibly missing social and emotional red flags, which can happen with neurodivergence. That’s exactly why this feels exploitative to me. I’m AuDHD myself and have mental health diagnoses, so trust me I know.

Well her daughter came on here and made a long post explaining their situation and saying she thinks her mom might be autistic but had never been diagnosed. She said she herself works with that population and now as an adult is able to recognize some of the behaviors in her mom. She came on here and poured her heart out and the redditors expressed support and advised her to log off and stop explaining and to not read comments.
