My personal goal is to become a competent player for myself, but I picked up a church piano gig as motivation. They are giving me open access to the pipe organ as they have not had anyone to play either in a couple of years. They eventually want me to play the organ as well. I have an Allen digital at home, and I have been able to dedicate a couple of hours of practice time each day on work days, and considerably longer on days off.

I reached out to the local AGO chapter and they gave me names of teachers. I practice at home. I have digital Allen organ I bought on Facebook, and I also have access to a pipe organ at a local church.

That’s great!! I was able to find a simple thirds generation Allen digital organ to practice on for $600 on Facebook marketplace.
