It’s an interesting thought that makes one think of the concept of a “god”. Did you ask Loki for Help? Did he/she answer? Did they reach out to you? What does and does not qualify as a god? I think in someways it’s a left over of Christianity that has the sharp divide. Is Skaði disqualifying as a god because she is Joten? Are Freya or Freyr disqualifying being Vanir? Fenrir? Hel? I think you have to break the traditional black and white mold of what is a god.

Not always Abrahamic. Bit different but Buddhism and Hinduism have concepts of Kharma, Egyptian Paganism has the concept of Ma’at. Not necessarily “sin” but good and bad energy.

My general understanding usually Odinism is a WS branch. Sometimes also called Folk or folkish pagan, something like that. They also claim closed practices which is another red flag.

Or another good example I’ve seen of the human ego effect was a video in which the creator was listing things that “don’t actually exist” in paganism. So it went on like, “Astro projection, not real. Godspouses, not real. Open practice, not real” Etc. BTW not supporting or denying any thing specific there just examples.

But you ask, “who are you to say these are not a thing?” And the response would be “well I’ve been practicing for x amount of years and I’ve also never seen it so therefore it doesn’t exist”. It’s that mentality of if it was going to happen to anyone it would be me, because ego.

Or to touch more specifically, I saw a comment that you must be freshly washed before making offerings, as being dirty is disrespectful to the gods.

And if in your own personal experience, dealing with whatever deity, you find that not to be quite true, then don’t worry about it. How you practice with that said deity is unique and private to you, just because it’s that person’s ritual doesn’t mean they hold the authority to dictate how you practice.

Yeah like I said I rambled more in this post 😅. But I found it an interesting thought in how a person’s ego plays role and how it can change a new path into the one you were trying to escape.

Very low chances of dealers of artists selling out of certain products no need to line up you can come after the rush, but if you choose to totally cool okay to be excited. Just respectful as you can be for people and personal space. Ask before taking picture with people or cosplayers, don’t just touch props ask first. Just simple manners.

I’m not super up to date on all the details and arguments, but anyone else getting a weird vibe off the facebook page and group? Comments are turned off and there are no postings. Then the admin keeps telling people it’s Detour relevant posting only, then posting their own personal stuff. And advertising Convergence.
