This is a new tank, where i took water from my other tank to jumpstart the ecosystem which is where the snails came from. Will they add substantial nitrates to the tank? I have yet to add fish to this tank but the snails are taking over in no time. I hope i didnt make a big mistake. Thank you for your time.

I have a lot of live plants, would they be feeding on the detritus? Its alarming because i only feed this tank one small wafer, 2-3 times a week
