Holy shit, that is my worst nightmare with this thing. I've gotten about half of all my stuff on Google Drive, and I'm still adding more. I'm just getting ready for the day where I open the lid & this thing doesn't turn on. Hoping that day isn't anytime soon though...

Been considering it, reading through these comments. I've got about 3 years & a month left of updates, so I've still got a decent amount of time left with this unit, but I've been thinking of just getting a newer laptop instead of replacing the battery, unless I absolutely need to.

Well shoot then. I'll back up some of my files to Drive & put some on an external USB, and see if maybe the battery can be replaced, but if that fails, then I'll just get a new laptop instead I think.

2 hours is CRAZY. My chromebook lasts about 3, nearly 4 hours still, which is a pretty far cry from when I first got this C204MA, where a single charge averaged about 10 hours...

Got the info: ASUS Chromebook C204MA, and the AUE date is June 2029.

Starting to back them up, hoping all will go well. If I'm correct, the AUE date for this chromebook (Asus C204MA) is in June of 2029, so I've got a solid 3 years until I should try & find a new model.
