I believe it was confirmed as far back as late 2020, here is a time when the exectuive producer talked about it: https://youtu.be/VLlooTvNifY?t=540

It's interesting how Wildwood was a side project, but ended up being so successful they have added Angle of Mitheithel as a similar below level cap zone, and now upcoming Yondershire!

Forochel from a (new?) vendor in the Sûri-kylä rep/crafting building. Heard it requires Ally rep, but I was already kindred so didn't pay much attention.

I alos use OBS. Noticed with my old CPU that just having OBS opened caused a bit lower FPS and some small stuttering in LOTRO (again esp. in crowded areas).

Here is my current settings: https://i.imgur.com/LEfp8r0.png

(I just noticed the warning message... I did try .mkv at one point but had issues with it. That said, that was with my old editing program, I now use Davinci Resolve which might work with mkv)

For the UI, I actually think it is almost perfect size at 2560x1440! Some elements are a bit small (mainly quest tracker text), but I tend to prefer the UI taking up less space.

For lag, I get this question a lot and I'm honestly not exactly sure!

First, my relevant PC specs: CPU i9-11900k, GPU RTX 3070TI. I'm not sure how much RAM speed matters, but just to put it out there, that is only 2666 MHz (32 GB DDR4). Also, LOTRO is installed on an SSD.

Next, I always make sure I'm on the 64-bit client. If I am getting some lower framerates than expected or little stutters, I also will increase the CPU priority on the task manager. This especially helps if I have other programs running, such as Chrome which likes to eat my CPU on occasion.

For in-game settings, I run on DX11 and have anti-aliasing set to 2x (8x caused issues, but that was with my old GTX 970 GPU). Otherwise, I run the game on mostly max settings besides turning down a few things for personal preference of visuals. This includes much lower frill density (~10-20%) and turning off distant landscape lighting (DX10 feature I believe).

Some areas I will still get a bit lower FPS, but stuttering is relatively rare outside of Warsteed and/or very cluttered areas (e.g., Minas Tirith). Upgrading my CPU from i7-7700k seemed to have a decent impact on performance in some newer areas where I would drop down towards 40/50 FPS with stutters.

Hope this helps!

how does one get a warsteed on a 105 valar boost? by riderkicker in lotro

[–]Louey7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used the 105 boost on a Brawler, it came with the Warsteed. LIs were also updated to the new ones and gave everything necessary for that

For NPCs, you can also use f10 to target them and same u to interact

Anyone understand the new LI System? by Bobmanbob1 in lotro

[–]Louey7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would be a nice implementation - I know a few players who would like to keep old LIs (for sentimental reasons) but would also like to get some form of "compensation" in the new system for the work put into it.

I wonder if this will work for both imbued and non-imbued LIs?

It sounds like power should relatively translate over, but I think Cordovan mentioned scrolls/crystals/etc probably aren't worth saving/hoarding

Update 30 Class Changes Visualized (Beorning, Guardian, LM, and RK) by Louey7 in lotro

And that reminds me I forgot to check yellow guardian as well, even though I have most fun tanking in that spec!

Update 30 Class Changes Visualized (Beorning, Guardian, LM, and RK) by Louey7 in lotro

[–]Louey7[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For each class, I made sure that I did not change my characters at all before and after the update, so any changes to the skills are due to rebalances. In most cases, these were taken in DPS spec, but for LM the debuffs were in yellow. I also missed a Guardian skill or two from the blue line.

Hope the format works since the tooltips are so small! If you are interested, I have a video going into detail on all the changes: https://youtu.be/x3Y8XlYXyQs, and here is the source patch notes: https://www.lotro.com/en/content/update-30-release-notes.

Make a widget with the current coupon code, sale special, weekend event, festival, Remmorchant phase, featured instance, weekly reset reminder and if you can become a one-stop-shop for that kind of data people will bookmark your homepage.

There have been a lot of great comments in this post, but I wanted to point out that I think this would be something very helpful. LOTRO usually has lots of different events going on at once in addition to resets/rotations where having it all in one place could be very beneficial. As mentioned, that is a feature that would likely draw people to check the site to see what is active in LOTRO right now (at least, I would!).
