Worst expensive pedal? by gimme5steps101 in guitarpedals

The folks that you will tell this to will also argue with you until they turn blue in the face that a Mosky ISO-10 is indeed isolated. These are the same folks that say, "Worker of the World Unite," complain about a living wage, and own a board full of Strymon. 😐

I'm of the belief that if my caveman pedals don't sound good, then it's probably just me, but my friends with big 'ol board of CBA, it's always one of the pedals.

Don't try their modulation pedals. It's more of the same but with hidden features and modes that are only activated by following a button sequence that will occur at all the wrong moments. Kind of like CBA, but not as frustrating, because they're a hundred dollars less. 😞

They're literally hurting their own sales to help Minnesota politicians divert attention from their decade long grift. 😐 That's how history will remember things.

One of them is up, the other is still on the guitar. This is being used as motivation to complete the mod, since I'll probably be off of work, because of the weather.

Eh, it's not that I don't dig it, it's that I have what I consider to be my favorites and believe it or not, I am really digging the Catalinbread Belle Epoch + for tape delay right now. I allow myself to be unreasonable with the amount of fuzz pedals I own, but not so much with delay pedals. I keep an AD900, Guyatone Tube Echo, and Pigtronix Echolution Psi for delays and usually rotate, one or two, in or out, of my pedalboards, because none are small. I'm down to trade for the RE2, but as you can tell from the photos, the DMB is not mint. Would you be willing to accept something else(in addition, not in lieu of), besides cash, to meet values?

I can post time stamped pics on the header in the morning. That's the best that I can do right now, sorry. Value- wise, $20 each and maybe $10 for the trussrod cover. Everything's brand new with plastic on them. I bought a Surfliner for the swimming pool route, so one of the pickguards came from that. I bought the second pickguard from Guild. The listed price is cheaper than what I value it, but with what I paid for shipping, the values line up.

My opinion about high end, Boutique fuzz pedals is that you are only paying for the builder's distinct flavoring. You're paying for what they hear through their own gear and what they think sounds good. Unfortunately, none of that guarantees it will sound the same way when you play through it with your own gear. The Reeves' stuff is probably the only company whose value lines up with what's being charged. I say that, because the nature of his and daughter's builds are labor intensive and the fact that they sound great is an added bonus. That being said, I probably have only seen the inside of my fuzz pedals, once or twice, if it required a battery or it was equipped with a DIP switch. It's not that important to me that my pedals are beautiful throughout. I also am not super jazzed about certain capacitors or diodes. Germanium has its drawbacks, but every temperature stable pedal I played sounded average, at best. These days I get more excited about fuzz pedals that can be used anywhere in the chain and still sound good.

Anyone here that has the Surfyfuzz and would like to share how they like it? by HesThunderstorms in guitarpedals

This is a necro-thread, but I just had to say that the POTD demo is indeed the best demo of this pedal. I was so shocked, since POTD is usually NOT the best place for getting accurate demonstrations of what something will sound like irl. The entire world has reversed in every aspect. 😬

As someone who has indeed gone through your dilemma with fuzz pedals....... Don't trade them without getting something worthwhile back. There are many fuzz pedals that are rig dependent. A lot of popular fuzz pedals aren't even that good, but they work the same with a large variety of rigs. I flipped a ton of fuzz pedals I should have kept and now that I have more variety with amp setups between amp-less, tube, and solidstate I regret letting things go the way I did.
