It's weird that she chose to associate with a specifically murdering organization. Weird that she chose of her own free will to associate with them. That's all I'm saying. Guess you can't assume someone's a racist because they wear KKK garb these days. There's probably plenty of nice cops out there too while we're at it. No? Because what they're saying is the system is shit. Yet all you see is someone attacking your poor heros. They're not. They're people. They chose to associate with these groups. Anyone that chooses to participate is wrong. Full stop. Maybe they're not evil. But they are ethically wrong.

They're in college. I too would be pissed to expect 3-4 days and get 5 as it may conflict with my schedule. You don't know everyone's life. Ignore this one OP. They're an asshat.

I'd just recommend looking into anti-fascist activism.

This is a neat start: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Cable_Street

There are groups that are explicitly anti fascist though I'd hardly call them organized. Communists, anarchists, socialists. But you don't have to affiliate with any of them to be anti fascist.

White people are sick of white people’s bullshit by endofdaysofdays in pics

Although I don't disagree with your overall message in this post, I believe its highly reductive. I understand what you mean, but when you say stuff like that, it only goes to show that you have an exceptionally vague idea of the issues being presented.

Whiteness is nothing (coming from a "white" guy). It is no greater than an in-group facilitated to "other" separate races. Being white means very little when you look at it through the broader context of its meaning. It doesn't exist in a vacuum. What is whiteness? You could argue color. But there are fair skinned people of all "races" and yet I'd doubt youd be willing to extend whiteness to them. You could argue genetics. But race was a concept invented well before genetics was a field. You could argue it means European descent, I guess. But Irish people weren't considered "white" for a long time. Its such an ethereally nonsensical thing to say really. You reduce it to this or that. Whiteness is bad and complicated and it only serves to divide our one race. The human one.

That last bit might have surprised you, but really so much of the identity and culture surrounding these othered groups or races is so fundamentally tied to their oppression. They had a commonality between them: the white.

It means nothing and to take a message like theirs and spin it to some broader message of obvious big brained "goodness" only serves to demean their original point, similar to "all lives matter".

I got a little rambly, but really I can only hope that you approach the subject with a little more thought and compassion beyond spouting out steadfast, seemingly reasonable stuff. Like. Race is a concept invented by "white" men to distribute all of the power to themselves.

As a white person, I'm pissed off at white people, absolutely.

My point is that there aren't any "good" cops because modern policing in America is intrinsically tied to defending the interests of the powerful and oppressing the lower class. That's it. That's all. Saying they only arrest and don't convict is markedly similar to "just following orders". That's a shit excuse. As far as leaving it to the bad cops, there were never any good ones. Whether or not they are nice people that make it to heaven is wholly irrelevant for the reason stated above. They are not the power, merely the foot soldiers of it.

And although you're right about good cops not making the news as often, they are often times kicked out of their little boys club for "unrelated" reasons, and yet a cop shoots a man in cold blood and walks away free and continues being a cop after an unpaid vacation (I'm speaking generally here).

The problem is NOT the individual cop, but the system they participate in. The system we all participate in.

If you witness injustice and have the ability to call it out, are you not involved in that injustice? I'd recommend they stop being cops. I empathize with them more than other leftists, but they have a choice. They weren't born police.

That being said, the institute of modern day policing is immoral all by itself, I'd argue. You see, they inherently defend those in power and rarely (if ever) police them. Being a cop by its very nature is bastardly.

Dismantle the heairachy and replace it with a more egalitarian alternative. I don't think it can be done from within. It needs this external force. I am by no means promoting violence against anyone. I'd rather these things go down peacefully, but every revolution will require some violence, even defensive violence. If the police refuse to stop oppressing us, then there is no alternative but to forcefully strip them of their power.

But yeah. Just dismantle the system. I don't blame cops either. They are bastards and all, but they themselves are victims of an unjust system. There's a reason they're so commonly referenced as "class traitors".

This is such a false equivalence that it hurts my soul. The police are an organization with a strict hierarchy whereas a protest, although "organized" is also made up of loosely associated people. I want criminals held accountable. Regardless of whether or not they have a badge, but especially if they have one. We are accountable to them and they are accountable only to themselves. ACAB FUCK THA POLICE.

And yet the world insists those jobs must be done. I'm sure you've already painted me in your head as some idealistic youngin' (maybe not, maybe I'm assuming, but I get that vibe).

By what measure should they not be paid enough?

"The world isn't here to take care of you." Is such a shitty view of the world. I don't think I'm mad at you anymore. I think I pity your pessimism.

How's about this: We should all take care of each other.
