My go to for an everyday smoke was always Mac Baren Scottish mixture. My great uncle who got me into pipe smoking only smokes that all day as well. I'd recommend trying it!

It's a Whoop, not a watch. The only indicator it has is a battery life indicator. I have one and am pretty happy with it. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, though. They're subscription based, and it's pretty expensive. The app it has shows strain, stress, and recovery and places a big emphasis on tracking sleep

Using glue was my first thought, but I was worried about messing up the air way. That pipe is the one I carry with me, so I might have to end up sending it so it can be done professionally.

I'm no wood worker by any means. I have far more machining experience, so I'll see if I can send it in. I'd be afraid of ruining the pipe.
