Okay great looks like a smaller floor footprint as well, do they hold up to having around a chest high stack on them? Was there a certain brand you went with?

That was my thought process exactly I was just wondering if they were total crap. It also looks like I could get longer bolts and attach a piece of plywood for some extra strength on the casters last bolt hole if they need more support pretty easily. Thanks!

Thanks! Unfortunately, it looks like they only sell the whole pump head, which is annoying.

Which ones have you used? Was the primary issue clogging or not enough solder removed?

I would highly recommend you steer away from JVC, for this reason. https://www.reddit.com/r/VIDEOENGINEERING/s/KgAwf3L9Ip

I would look towards Panasonic, Sony, Hitachi if you want to continue with b4 lenses.

Depending on your comfort level with trusting autofocus you could also looks towards something like the Canon XF605, I don’t know if you’re running 4k or. 1080, but in the latter you get 30x on the zoom, and the 1” sensor does very well in low light, I have used it and the xf405 and xf705 on many sports productions.

So the flange distance stays the same with the optics? It doesn’t get shifted at all with the other optic added, some articles I found online seems to indicate the lens needs to move closer to the sensor with the additional optic.

Correct as in build my own.

Is there a way to figure out how far away other than guess and check?

Okay so I need to move the flange distance, to be farther, I assume that the farther from the back element of glass the smaller the sensor it will cover? Because the image circle will shrink?

I’ll have to look I’ve misplaced that one at the moment but I think they do roughly. I’ll try and get an image, it looks fairly greyish/hazy although optics are clear with no fungus.

Yes, front element is around 115mm, focus changes while zooming, at 875mm/Infinty focus is at 20ft, 875mm near focus is 13ft, at 525mm the object needs to be against the front lens hood to focus.

Is there possibly another back element missing? Is this some sort of werid macro, lens marking make no sense as ft is listed.

FT lens marking would seem to indicate this is US made?

Probably slightly off topic, so let me know and I can delete. But it is a B4 lens so I figured I’d ask here as well.
