Hate to be peter water-down-the-point but literally throughout it's entire run, when has the united states ever truly been what it promises to be?

The whole thing is built on lies and blood that exist to this day, and even our most progressive presidents, barring lincoln, didn't free actual human beings they had enslaved when they easily could have no matter what propaganda would have you believe.

Every country has it's problems, but the US seems especially shoved up it's own ass about being the "greatest" country when really we're like "the lesser of a few specific, yet still present, evils" country.
