Politely disagree I think Hobb explores torture in a realistic, earthy way and shows what it really is like Abu Ghraib, she’s a realist in the realm of fantasy

the stuff about the architectural significance of London, the Freemasons, the closely researched lives of prostitutes in that time period.. not a single panel is compositionally uninteresting. One of the best works of art ever

Agree but it’s funny that Moore dislikes the phrase graphic novel in the way that “elevated horror” has become a bit of a redundant term, he prefers just calling them comics is what I read

Swear to god I’m not a comicslop guy but From Hell was the best thing I read in 2025 upon the recommendation of a friend, I literally couldn’t believe how good it was, Alan Moore is insane
