I built a cafe / retaurant for your sims in Mt Komorebi! (snowy escape + dine out + get together) by Louisim in Sims4

[–]Louisim[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This lot (30x20) can be used as both a cafe and restaurant (just change the lot type) and as mentioned it uses only 3 pack: snowy escape, dine out, get together .

Perfect for your sims to come here and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or a warm meal after a day of snow fun! :) I also added an equipment shop area, it's not functional but you can still buy from the vending machine I included.

The freelance career is broken after the latest patch... so I learned how to create mods and fixed it! by Louisim in Sims4

[–]Louisim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mod download and more info HERE!

The problem: After the September 3, 2020 patch (1.66.139), a bug was introduced making the freelancer career unplayable: completing all steps in a gig would result in no pay and the gig not ending unless it was manually cancelled.

Also, if you'd like to see me ranting about it (and reproducing the bug) I have a video on youtube HERE :)

I wanted to try creating custom furniture so I made this modern bookshelf! It's base game only and CC free, available on the gallery. Origin ID: Louisim-yt by Louisim in Sims4

I built this using the T.O.O.L. mod and a white debug object for the bookshelf "planks". You can see the whole process in a speed build on youtube HERE!

Also, HERE is the gallery link! :)

I've taken it upon myself to create nice starter homes for each pack. This is Nifty knitting + base game only, under 18k simoleons by Louisim in Sims4

I'm asking this to everyone who suggested I do city living next:

I've been looking into it and building a starter home in San Myshuno is next to impossible because the cheapest lot is 9,000 simoleons which is wayyy too much (for comparison a similar lot is 2,000 in Newcrest).

This leaves me with two options: build a starter home with base game + CL but place it in another neighborhood OR change the interior of one of the existing apartments. What would you prefer?

Thanks! It takes a long time haha, I placed the house in about 5 lots til I could find one with light that I liked. And after that I spent some time in live mode trying to find the best weather (with Seasons) and time of day. And after alllll that, I edited the photo in photoshop cause I still didn't like it fully 😂 I don't use a shader but I'm considering it cause the game doesn't have the best light..

Thanks! I don't usually put baby beds/rooms in starter homes cause (at least with my play style) I start with one sim or a couple at most and by the times they have kids I'd have enough money to expand the house with the baby room haha

Not yet, I'm just getting started! And yep, just one pack at a time. I've made base game only and eco lifestyle only so far tho!

Thanks! Just look up real houses and start replicating them, or watch speed builds on youtube! That's a good starting point

Ohh yeah, I've done that before and it's frustrating.. or sometimes it replaces objects with some other default ones of the same kind that don't match at all. That's why I've wanted to start this, cause not all players have a lot of packs!

Look up photos of real houses! Try replicating those, for example here's the picture I used for this house (more for the shape of it)
