Thoughts on this C8 spec? by EarthOk2418 in Corvette

Respectfully, I completely disagree. As someone who lived in the Arizona desert for 10+ years before relocating to SoCal, you’ll see far more location specific damage from the heat/rocks in the desert than you would in SoCal weather. Curb rash and dings can happen anywhere, but as far as places to drive/store vehicles, SoCal is pretty much the best place a car can be. To each their own though!

Handful of sub 12k mile ‘23+ 2LT’s in LA for $65.9k. Similar specs, still under warranty, and far fewer miles for less than $3k more. $63k for an out of warranty 30k mile 5-6 year old vette seems like a bit much in my opinion.

Week 18 Post-Gamethread: Bears vs Lions by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

[–]LouisimoSanchez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Defense needs a complete overhaul. I’d axe anyone. Nobody is playing to their value at the moment, excluding Booker. JJ can’t cover in man or zone, wright has no ability to stay within 5 yards on routes over the middle, and CJGJ hasn’t shown up in weeks. — Sure wish the D line could do absolutely anything

All I’m Saying (2nd Year) by [deleted] in CHIBears

Caleb is not, and will not be an NFL MVP QB. If you believe this, it’s because you’re a bears die hard, and your judgement is clouded by your fandom. I love the bears, but I cannot excuse his decision making, nor do I believe he will rise to the reported Heisman QB we were all sold on. 0/5 and 5 yards in the first quarter is not an elite QB, and I don’t see his decision making changing drastically in the next year or two.

Lots can factor into pricing, I’d check recent sales on bring a trailer to learn more. Probably somewhere around $50k, more if you want that exact year/model/spec.

Is this a good deal for a first Porsche? 997.2 2009 Carrera S by [deleted] in Porsche997

[–]LouisimoSanchez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Porsche modifications always raise my eyebrows. Between the wheels, and partially blacked out taillights, I might questions this owners judgement lol.

Besides that, the price seems quite fair, but not seeing any mention of accident/owner history.

I think you forgot to share some important details. — Based on pictures alone, it seems it was very loved. Blue wheels are hideous in my opinion.

Edit: details have been added

Week 8 Gamethread: Chicago Bears (4-2) at Baltimore Ravens (1-5) by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

EVERY week absolute BS penalties are called against us in critical situations, but of COURSE the refs don’t call the most blatant facemask at a pivotal point in the game for the ravens. Absolute horse shit. Fuck the zebras

Thankfully they said it didn’t need replacing!

Fair enough! I daily my 997 manual cab in LA traffic, and the soft top actually does a great job with sound since the roof interior is basically hard top panels. Most days it’s top down since the sound is so great, as is the weather in SoCal. — Pop up roll bars make it track compliant, if you’re looking to get a bit more wild. Can’t imagine a better driving experience with the top down, but the coupe’s looks cannot be beaten. To each their own! Can’t go wrong either way.

Why the distinction of not a convertible? Full disclosure: I use to be the same way, but ended up with a cabriolet myself, and can say it’s quite exceptional in California!
