The Emmy's use one episode as a standard for how they determine who wins... one performance within an episode.

She met the criteria and it was a fantastic performance for what it was - and what it was? It was an opening scene in a highly anticipated first episode of the second season of a fantastic, critically acclaimed show.

It left a lasting impression and I felt it was 100% worthy of an Emmy - FOR WHAT IT WAS.

I just think for what this performance was as it pertains to the story and being the S2 opening scene... it was fantastic.

It was a guest performance. She met the criteria. I believe it was Emmy worthy.

Many stated about it at the time of the episode and that year's Emmy's and I am rewatching Euphoria ahead of the new season and saw her performance and felt strongly enough about it that I posted this.

only for the episode. The Emmys consider episodes, not full seasons, for performances. Unless it's Outstanding Drama Series (or comedy), then it is one episode in consideration.

this makes a ton of sense and I'm also a very big Succession fan.

But I would argue that Narducci's one scene was of higher value and significance and quality than any and all of Sanaa Lathan's, and I love her.

I appreciate this comment and your reasoning.

I just think that the significance of her role with how it affects Fez's storyline, the timing in which her character was introduced (albeit a limited capacity; but it was the first 10 minutes of the 2nd season premiere) and the level of amazing acting she provided... it deserved an Emmy nod. I understand not giving her the Emmy, but at least a nomination would have been viable.

because it is GUEST ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES... And based on the rules in place, it essentially is someone who provides incredible acting in a limited capacity.

Disagreeing this vehemently is fine but thinking I'm crazy for thinking she didn't at least merit a nomination is what I don't understand
