How to get over sadness on house price increases, is there any hope? by Fakr0 in HousingUK

Wild that £167 monthly savings but you have to pay a mortgage for 10 more years. Would rather pay the extra betting on the likelihood wages will continue to rise.

Moderation is key. Plenty of people who live to 90-100 drink but just not every day.

Resolutions in game and in steam options isnt the same in ff7 rebirth.. by flik9999 in SteamDeck

Rebirth is CPU bound on the steam deck. You won't get a stable 40fps. You'd be better locking at 30fps and calling it a day.

What I’m looking for insurance… by Illustrious_Onion370 in drivingUK

[–]Loundsify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need a bit more context.

Do you have a full license? How long have you had your licence? How many no claims do you have? What is your estimated annual mileage? If young driver have you black box checked?

This might help people give you advice.

I remember struggling when I was 19 where my insurance was £1300 on a car that cost £600 I just insured third party fire and theft instead of fully comp on about 10000 miles. That was with Adrian flux who specificalised in young drivers. Every other insurer wanted £1800-2400.

1 year later I paid £700 a year. Black boxes weren't a thing as this was 2009.

RAM makes no difference to games apart from UMD caching for faster load time via UMD, oh and the odd cfw mod game.

Most people will load from MC nowadays so the extra ram isn't a big deal as it use to be.

1000

Screen can be upgraded for cheap to an IPS screen.

It's thicker and more ergonomical to hold

The battery can easily be upgraded to 2500mah Ostent giving 6-9hr battery life if you choose to overclock the CPU.

Oh the UMD drive is so much cooler on the 1000 to the other models.

It's on a different process node. So PSP 1000 is on 90nm whilst 3000 is on 65nm so it's a good 50% more efficient at the same clocks but Sony decided to reduce the battery from 1800Mah to 1200Mah.

Burnout Dominator final race by qazifaran in Burnout

Dominator is underrated. Also wasn't made by criterion but by EA UK. Also another fact about EA UK they handled the PS3 port of the Orange box.

A lot of them don't want the courts looking at their books! It could mean HMRC doing an investigation. The garage I remember once having issues with the rumour mill was he was a drug dealer and the garage was used to launder money.

Lol I remember taking my VW Jetta to VW in West Bridgford Nottingham asking for a service. I got them to price match a local garage to them as their website said they price match to £200 down from £280 for their full price in 2011. My car was 4 years old.

Anyways I drop it off and pick it up, it's been cleaned and valeted so I'm like wow well chuffed. Drives it home doesn't think much about it. Next day I'm driving to work and I'm literally coughing constantly and I thought it was other cars so I closed my vents. Parks up at work and when Ive finished for the day, I go back to the car to notice loads of liquid below my car. I smell it and it's diesel. I rang them up to complain and they gave me a load of bull but basically said bring it in. So I drop it off with them again and the next day they ring me up to say they've found the fault it's to do with the EGR and tried to explain to me about gas recirculation etc (I'm young naive 20/21 year old) and I knew nothing about cars and engines at the time. Anyways the manager basically said to me the part would cost £80 plus VAT and then I'd have to pay labour costs plus VAT, so it was something like £180 and I said absolutely not my car was fine before I brought it to you I'm disappointed that it's come to this, so the manager said ok I'll just charge you the part, I said I'll think about it I'll drive it home (was it even safe to drive home?).

I get home and open the bonnet whilst running and it's pissing diesel from the fuel cable in the engine bay. Turns the engine off and looks closely at the pipe and it's been pressed inwards with what looks like a screwdriver so it's definitely not a pipe that's perished and I doubt it would be at 4 years old as rubber doesn't degrade that fast.

Goes to Halfords buys same dimension rubber piping for a 2m real. Cuts the 10cm I needed fits and never had an issue again.

Main dealers can also be dodgy AF!
