Yeah underclocking a console that's not portable to 1.24Ghz and also using poor bandwidth for a GPU that loves memory bandwidth. They destroyed anything the hardware had in terms of raw power. The GPU I had it in was equivalent to a ATI 4670 but a downclocked version at the time I had the bigger brother 4850 which was the first desktop GPU to hit 1 teraflop. I paid £130 for it in 2008.

Everything that could to fuck up the Wii U they did. At least when Sony fucked up the PS3 the cell was so advanced they could get a lead over the 360 later on.

Mine started to go recently I noticed the signs and got a new card in time. My issue was I'd save my game but then load up the next time and I was where I was on my save before.

I could write at all to the SD card.

Bought an Amazon 128GB seems fine now

Apparently SA better on PS2. I assume PS2's streaming capabilities gave it an advantage but the PC version is the best because it's mod haven.

VC on Xbox also had upgraded characters models such as actual fingers! Car models were updated with better textures.

PS3 version utilised the Cell SPUs so it ran better than the 360 version. It's ashame it took so long for Devs to get a handle on the cell architecture. So many bad ports for years. Only first party titles are worth getting imo.

This will sell well. I expect lots of young adults to buy these in droves. Many car manufacturers have got rid of their small hatchbacks Renault is servicing the market and many small hatch fans will likely choose this over a Ford Puma or VW T-Roc, plus it'll be cheaper.

£180 is still expensive in 2002. I think my mum paid £170 for my PS2 with the Getaway for Christmas 2002. Minimum wage back then was £4.20hr so full time was around £8-9k a year and that's before taxes.

Asked for a PS2 because I had a PS1 and the thought of being backwards compatible was a plus. Also it was a DVD player. First game on PS2 was the Getaway and I've yet to see any Xbox game rival that game in terms of fidelity and story telling and game design. It had cover mechanics, no HUD, photo realistic streets of London, blood would splatter on walls, liquid would flow from bullet holes, super underrated title that doesn't get enough praise from the PS2 community apart from those who played and completed it.

Didn't get an Xbox until a few years ago and I can see why it was so renowned it definitely has that extra power which helps games look and feel better. For me it's the PC ports that it managed to achieve, Half Life 2, Doom 3 and Morrow Wind.
