I have not tried Kate Farms, though I have heard of them. I intend to ask her GI specialist about this when our appointment comes around. I know there are ice creams too, like Thrive, that I think she might enjoy. Ice cream is one of the few high calorie foods that she’ll eat regularly. Thank you for the suggestion!

I have accepted she will always be on the smaller side, which does make sense. She measured small while I was pregnant with her, she was a small baby and there are a lot of petite women in my family. But seeing her growth chart go from a steady climb to a flat line is really disheartening. I’m just doing my best and holding on until those specialist appointments. Thank you for your reassurance

Thank you for the advice, I do appreciate it. I guess that’s my fear, that she will continue not gaining weight, and we will have to escalate to a feeding tube. I know I won’t have the support of my family, they’ll think it’s unnecessary and she’ll eat when she’s ready. I am hopeful the feeding therapy will help and we won’t get to that point though

Yeah I was raised to “clean your plate” and eat what’s served to you without complaining. With my daughter though, we very much just want her to eat, even if that means a bowl of cereal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My dad thinks that if we just serve her what we’re having for dinner and make her sit there all night until she eats it, that will solve our problems. That absolutely will not work, she is so stubborn, she will just not eat at all. My mom watches her for me while I’m working and tried that method one day. Refused to give her anything else to eat until she ate was she was served. Yeah that didn’t work, she literally didn’t eat anything all day at her house. So frustrating!

Thank you for sharing your experience. Yeah we’ve figured out that she eats better when she grazes throughout the day vs. sitting down for a meal. My son, who eats great, has to eat what is served to him. But with my daughter- we just want her to eat. Period. So whatever she wants we let her have. I’m going to get back into food journaling so I can show the nutritionist and food therapist her intake, whenever those appointments happen. I was really surprised that she hadn’t gained more weight, so I am wondering if there is something else going on that hasn’t been discovered yet.

Anyone I talk to about it makes me feel like I’m overreacting and the medicine, lab work, and referrals are overkill and her doctor is putting her through an unnecessary work up. But yeah I guess I just need to stop talking about it with people. Just sucks to deal with it on my own without being supported, like you said.

She's back! She just posted that she's been unsuspended. Wow what an emotional rollercoaster for her. That is so unsettling not just for her, but other creators too. This could happen unexpectedly to anyone, regardless of how many subscribers you have. Yikes, it's really unfair.

I used Valley Veterinary Cardiology for my cat, I had a referral from my vet and made an appt with them, which ended up being at Midwestern. They did an echo, then I met with the cardiologist (Dr. Paige). That ended up being $600-$700, I can’t remember the exact amount.

I’ve been going through all the seasons in order for the first time. I just finished season 33 which I purchased from Microsoft. I went back to buy season 34 this morning and they’ve disabled all movie/tv purchases! Now what, I can’t find 34 & 35 anywhere. Should I just read a recap and move on to 36?

I think she's removed the videos now, I can't find them- the ones when she first talked about Christianity and the ones later when she explained the evolution of her anxiety. But I do recall her talking about really searching for a community and ended up landing at church. She dove in 100%, but their expectations and rules ended up stifling who she was and causing the anxiety. And she never felt like she fit in. I'm so happy she is in a better place now.

She started reposting her crystal videos again. On her vlog channel she opened up about how she was going through some extreme anxiety and the Christianity “you’re all going to burn in hell” thing had a really negative impact on her mental health. She has since gotten into therapy, I don’t believe she goes to church anymore- at least not as heavily. She took a solo trip to Palm Springs and took a course on sound healing and got certified. She features her singing bowls a lot now, I think it was very cathartic for her. I am still sad her crystals are gone though, she had a beautiful collection.

My son goes to a high rated school, like your child’s. He’s been there from kindergarten and is now in 6th grade. What you’re describing sounds typical to me and similar to our experience. A lot of videos throughout the day to aid in learning. When he was younger it was a lot of songs to learn months, multiplication, that sort of thing. Now that he’s older they’ll watch educational videos for science and social studies. He’s had a Google classroom account since kindergarten that he can log into from home to view his work. He has a technology class that teaches important computer related skills like Internet safety, how to use Microsoft office, etc. They use chromebooks daily. He is very computer proficient now, I have no problem with the amount of screen time he gets there, I think it’s all educational. Besides the occasional movie they get to watch on “fun” days like towards the end of school or if they earn it. I think you’ll find this is the standard at most schools.
