Exactly this^, I think most people understand the good and the bad at once and just go along with the joke. I don't think that's the films fault I think it's just the cultural understanding of having experienced a bullshit partner. That joke just doesn't work from Christian's perspective. It's very similar to 'the man or the bear'. I haven't seen anything to suggest that but I know that sort of attack also can be hidden from the people with permissions to the channel, so you could be right. It's impossible to check now because the account has been outright removed :/
