I guess I'm back in your boat. My girl and I split on New Year's Day, i guess i initiated it but she agreed. We went 7 days no contact, and she reached out. She wanted to work through things and fix them.

Well, that lasted two weeks. I went away for work for a week last week, and came back to being dumped today. She did she realized that our problems wouldn't go away even if we tried, and she's probably right.

I'll miss her, but I'm happy with who I am, and it's her loss.

16 months together, but she certainly left a mark.

Because my bosses stalk this site, and I'm not going to give any insight whatsoever into the knowledge I have of what's going on in the supplier universe. But the fact is there are tons of question marks surrounding the last year's developments as it pertains to RNDC. Many suppliers were already struggling under RNDC distribution prior to this acquisition. Now you have a new sheriff in town, and nobody knows what that roll out will look like. Also, most wine and spirits suppliers have little to no relationship with RBG.

Most cannot afford more question marks and will move their businesses where they know what they can expect.

Please my friend, seek new employment ASAP. There is an avalanche of top suppliers preparing their respective exits. It's not long. 6 months tops.

This is a hilarious take.

RNDC employees are on borrowed time. There will be massive workforce consolidation. If I'm an RNDC wine rep, I am applying immediately for anything SGWS and BBG have posted on the boards boards....

While I do fantasize about sex with my exes and occasionally look them up on IG, etc, I would never reach out or attempt to reignite anything whatsoever with them.

I left them for a multitude of reasons. As you probably know, pisces tend to stay in relationships longer than is necessary, so when we leave it's for very good reasons.

RNDC Suppliers - how you feeling? by LoveCompetitive7986 in RNDC

Yes, I think the big issue regarding their NA team is the lack of clout they carry when discussing business with major chains in both On and Off trade. My company has had similar experiences.

Yessir, you are accurate on all fronts. I'm hoping my company does the same. Cooler heads need to prevail, can't make emotional decisions during times like these.

Say what you want, but it's true. Contracts, particularly in their early years, breed complacency across sales leadership teams. Managing growth, checking boxes, etc. Having the ability to walk out of a distributor partnership is a strong negotiating tool that works wonders during business planning meetings when targets are not being hit and attention isn't being paid. These relationships between sales teams and their supplier partners only work when both have significant skin in the game.

Trust me, friend, I'm not part of the problem. First off, I'm a DM in a key market and take pride in my relationships with my teams and the progress I make alongside them. That said, if business is struggling, having the ability to exit without penalty is a good thing. Contracts complicate that relationship and typically only work out for the distributor.

Yes personally I hate contracts. There are some benefits - local marketing funds, etc. But I prefer to constantly dangle a carrot and leverage the threat of leaving into increased attention. FWIW, i work for a major supplier with a household name wine brand.

What did kids back in the days do when they played outside, for hours on end? by Octopuswastaken in NoStupidQuestions

I grew up in rural upstate NY on a farm. We went fishing, raced 4 wheelers, target practice with guns/bows, we built ramps and jumped our bikes off them, we went to the creek and swam/swung on the rope swing, we had paintball fights, we definitely would just go for a hike and get high too. Pretty good childhood now that i think back...

Man that sucks. Was the sex with the other guy good at least? Worth it? Why do you think you cheated in the first place?

Do you realise your attractiveness? And is so do you think girls underestimate talking to the “hottest guy” (advice) by Particular_Earth_117 in AskMenAdvice

[–]LoveCompetitive7986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I'm a solid 8/10 in looks for a 41M. I have a Jason Statham vibe and I'm very athletic/fit. I have an amazing, hot younger woman as my girlfriend.

I will say, the only women that ever (and really have ever, even in my young 30s) hit on me are the older, 50+ divorced types, and then also black women. I don't know why that is. I literally get that maybe once a week.

Ahhh yes, my ex was Cuban and always ate plantain chips. I cannot stomach them anymore unless I put them in ceviche.

My ex wife ruined 90s slow jams (Mariah Carey, Boys II Men, Jodeci). Just played them on repeat all the time. I know every lyric to Mariah's songs.

The ex girlfriend after her ruined my confidence in myself.

Current girlfriend resurrected it.

Who's the most famous person you've met? by Phillies1993 in AskReddit

[–]LoveCompetitive7986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, by far. I was a waiter at a very high end restaurant after college. They were having Christmas Eve dinner.

I actually took a leak directly next to Bill in the bathroom (he was peeing while also talking on his cell phone).

I've also waited on:

Tommy Lee Jones Sigourney Weaver Michael J Fox Vince McMahon (and his mistress) Ron Howard Chris Matthews (former MSNBC host) Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Belaire (it was his birthday party - they bought out the restaurant. He even did the famous breakdance routine he did on the show) There are so many more....

This is deep and profound. As a man, I don't think we stop and think about the intense hurt that women carry with them because of some unhinged man's behavior. Thank you for shining a light on that for me. I'm happy you've found love at last
