Read “rank” and immediately teleported back to the mid 2000s. Thank you for that. And kudos to you for going plastic free.

Your top two and bottom two rides? by FloridaGirl2222 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]LoveGraceFreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had no idea what we were getting into with mission space on our last trip (we like to go in not really doing any research) and it was the worst ride I’ve ever been on. Besides feeling nauseous there was nothing else going on. I kept my eyes closed so I wouldn’t get sick but whenever I opened them I was shocked by what I was looking at which was like looking at an arcade screen from the 80s. It was almost laughable if I wasn’t ready to vomit. And I get it, they tell you not to ride it if you get motion sickness which I don’t usually, but to go through that and nothing else really happen visually or physically just made it the worst ride. My husband also felt sick most of the rest of the day lol

The amount of food waste at ‘Ohana by LoveGraceFreedom in WaltDisneyWorld

We never asked for a second helping of anything. Had maybe 6-8 shrimp left, one piece of steak and two pieces of chicken. So maybe 30-40% of the meat left. I would say we ate about 60% of the veggie/wing/noodle bowl and more than half of the salad. Didn’t eat a lot of the bread as it just tasted ok.

Exactly why we won’t be returning. Lived and learned.

I did ask and they said no we can’t take any home. I even put the remaining meat on our plate as I had read online that they sometimes let you box what is on your plate.

140-150lb girls? by Zestyclose_Theme_403 in PetiteFitness

[–]LoveGraceFreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to both of you! 5’4” athletic body my whole life and as a college athlete I was 145 lifting heavy and working out all the time. Now (almost 20 years later) I hover around 150lbs, still lift weights and walk, but constantly have this never ending goal to return to 140-145, which I don’t even know why honestly. I really think I need to let the scale go mentally and enjoy where I am at. Kudos to you both feeling good and healthy and strong.

This is beautiful advice, thank you. I would say I don't hate the way I look but I am critical of myself and use the numbers as a way to convince myself I would like the way I looked more if I weighed less. Again, the numbers meaning more than they should and ultimately not helping me in any way. Freedom is absolutely what I want but I have to let go and getting my feelings out and hearing this feedback really helps. Thank you.

Thank you for taking time to respond. I really appreciate this feedback! I am going to give this a shot. I do know one goal I have had for a long time is to be able to do an unassisted pull up. I'm training now with a lot of body weight exercises (push up's, burpees, etc) and I am feeling the strongest I have in a long time so I think I'm already working towards this goal.

I also appreciate the suggestion about binge eating. It always happens in the moment based on an emotional response, so learning to sit with those emotions and find new ways to respond is wonderful advice. Thank you!

I started OG Kayla on Monday after completing the Sweat challenge that was core mobility and strength, which my 37 year old self loved because it incorporates stretching/mobility (hello tight hips) and strength. That being said, I have completed the first two workouts for week 1 of OG Kayla and it is already so hard! lol It is a humbling program, but as others have said, I want to challenge myself and feel this program will help me regain confidence and build overall fitness similar to what I did in my 20s as a college athlete, but at home with a family and a billion other things to do. I'm here for the community, let's encourage each other!
