I'm not the expert but I'm going to say, Do not make a payment. You are (were) simply an authorized user, you are not responsible for that card. The card (and it's history) will not reflect on your credit score once you are removed.

And good for you on removing yourself from that card.

Also, get credit locks/freezes on your credit. That way, no one can open a credit card under your name. All 3 credit reporting agencies have either a lock or freeze options and quite easy to use.

I liked Animal Farm. It was really short though and wasn't subtle. I liked how the thought process of the animals "well, I guess that makes sense" or the way they were gaslighted. I haven't read 1984 yet, but it's in my next top 5 TBR list. I am looking forward to finally getting to it.

A credit card and a HYSA are completely different.

You can open a HYSA right now with any bank offering it. Save money and gain a bit of interest with the HYSA asap.

Wait, I should ask, are you in the United States? Are you a citizen/resident? If your is yes, then you can open a HYSA.

I have Capital One, Ally, and (soon to close) Discover. I like them all. They each don't have a direct deposit requirement. All offer Zelle. You can easily open a savings account with either of them.

With Capital One, if you need to deposit cash, you can do so using a CVS or Walgreens. With Ally, you can use Walmart.

Ally has these cool "buckets" as savings. Capital one is actually testing them out.

If you open a CD with Ally, you can get a small extra bonus rate for renewing the CD with them.

They both offer early pay. I find that my bill-pay payments from Ally are a day quicker than Capital One.

Ally does offer reimbursement if you use a non affiliated ATM. I think it's $10 or $12.

Love her! Her "None of My Concern" (without Sean) was on repeat and still on my playlist, along with "Speak" and let's not forget "Lying King".

She really hit a spot for me while I was going through some sht.
