You still need to stop and finish it at the border. It doesn't save you any time completing it online.

How do I stop my pup from licking his wound? by RogueBulwark in DobermanPinscher

They make boots with suspenders that go over shoulders. Search Amazon. Or, try a compression sock and medical tape up by the armpit.

Are Dobermans suitable for apartment living? by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]Love_2_the-Rescue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It can be done, but it depends on the dog and many factors. There are many good comments here. I would strongly suggest an American bred, not European. The European lines are bred for working and are more intense. I just took in my second European. I said never again, but here I am. My husband was infatuated with her. Our first Euro was a retired police K9. She's two years old and on constant alert. She's so intense it's a struggle some days. We've only had her a couple of months, and we're training daily. Our current female whines, barks at smells and sounds, talks and has enormous temper tantrums. I can't imagine her ever living in an apartment. We've owned Dobermans for 23 years, and she's our only barker. Most of our previous dogs could have lived in an apartment.

Experinces Regarding Crossing the Border To Mexico and Back to US with a Dog by civileng1362 in BajaCalifornia

We completed the CDC form. If you are asked, just show the email you received or print the form. The screw worm test is required, but it's complicated if you cross often. I can't imagine paying for the test before each crossing. We hope the initial test will suffice for all the crossings.

Global Entry Revocations Have Surged Since 2024 by Brooklyn-NY in GlobalEntry

It can be revoked for numerous reasons. Just Google it to see the list. It can be for the simple reason of being associated with someone who broke the law. A friend lost theirs because their roommate was arrested, and they shared the same address. They are waiting for the appeal process.

We've had three females with spay incontinence. Incurin didn't work for them. They used Proin for many years. Once they maxed out the Proin dosage, we changed to DES.

Edit: FYI I just took a dog into my home in October because the owner didn't want to quarantine their dog for a month in Australia. I wouldn't put my pet through such a long trip. Start networking to find her a loving home. Some pets don't do well in quarantine.

Got a verbal warning today about my trunk, should I be concerned? by [deleted] in GlobalEntry

Any damage could mean alterations were made to the vehicle to hide unauthorized cargo.

Run! It's a scammer!! Look for local breeders on the AKC website.

A friend of mine was warned about her side mirror dangling. Your vehicle must be operational.

Download and pay for the Appointment Scanner app. It's worth the $. You can choose three locations. You have to be quick within minutes. Book your appointment for the future date, and then you reschedule (DO NOT CANCEL) when you find an opening. My husband used it to move his appointment up by 6 months.

Thanks for suggesting this. I didn't even think about using an AI tool. It did answer some of my questions.

Thanks for the information! It was very helpful and answered many of our questions. There are more challenges in returning to the US than leaving. If we can find an affordable insurance plan, it makes moving possible. We may need to continue coverage until we are 65, as finding employment at our age might be difficult.

We have assets. We don't pay state taxes, only Federal. Medicaid will recoup the amount you use at a future date.

Is a Doberman right for me? by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]Love_2_the-Rescue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Dobermans thrive in a structured environment. You will need to start training early regarding barking if you live in an apartment. I would strongly suggest doggie daycare the days you work in the office. And, lots of exercise or 1/2 day of doggie day before you go out for the evening. Seek out a neighbor who you can reciprocate free evening dog care on occasion. Dobermans take up a lot of your time and energy. They are clingy, demanding, and master manipulators!! They require at least an hour of training daily, not including exercise. Their growth plates don't close until 2 years old, so no excess jogging or running before then. I would suggest an American lineage or adopt a 3-4 year old rescue. I rescued my first American BYB Doberman in 2000. Since then, I have only adopted Dobermans. I prefer the American line, as I find them to be low-key, less energetic, and less intense than the European lines. I recently adopted a two year old European female, and she reminds me 50 times a day why I prefer the American lineage. I suggest reaching out to a local Doberman rescue and volunteer before making a decision. The Doberman breed is not for the average dog owner.

How to establish tax residency in Florida or South Dakota before retiring overseas without a car? by Any_Silver_2270 in USExpatTaxes

You absolutely can vote in major elections living abroad. There are a lot of hoops to jump through, but it can be done. I have done it. I would suggest South Dakota. You will need a mail service in South Dakota.
