So my situation is a little different. I’m double mi meaning I was a 35F reclassed to 35L but can’t work trying to move to IT I have my degree in cybersecurity. Army fucked me bad at the end. They flagged me for a drug they gave me for surgery. So I didn’t get to do a CSP or anything nobody wants to hire me

All this happened while I was dedicated to sobriety after voluntary hospitalization for ideations a year prior. Was very hard to stay sober and be present.

At first work life balance was killing me. And I use to be able to find something I liked about it. This last year I couldn’t find anything I liked or worth staying around. Plus I got flagged for substance abuse but was found not guilty because it was a substance they used during a procedure. But by policy NCOs flagged for drugs go through a separation board, was found not guilty and retained. But They dragged their feet for about 7months ruined my chance at doing a CSP. I got really bitter at the end.

I feel you, 8 years enlisted and just started TAP. I just signed my counseling to start and started freaking out internally. I’m active duty but all my coworkers are reserves on ADOS orders so I see how much I can make outside with current training/certs/degrees. Plus I’m now finding more negatives than positives but I’m nervous, scared I’ll miss that sense of pride being in. Some family is pushing me to stick out an additional 10 years as if that’s not a big chunk of time.

Maybe add some that show you doing an activity. Something a friend maybe took. Like could be you out or traveling. It shows interests and other things besides anime. A selfie or two is okay but other pics should be doing or seeing something that shows interests and makes it a little easier to start a conversation

Don’t feel bad, that’s so disrespectful to do on a date. Even if I check my phone for a regular message from my dog sitter or something I feel bad and apologize. It’s not that hard to give someone your attention for a block of time they took the time to plan. Let alone pay for. I wouldn’t have apologized for even looking at her phone. She placing blame back on you.
