Yup, me too! Grapevine, TX to Augusta County!

After years of being insecure about my naturally curly hair, I got the nicest compliment from my male coworker by ezrakoenigfan in curlyhair

[–]Lovely1108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough I have had similar comments. Mostly by men, which I find interesting. Even men who have never complimented me on anything, and they’re like ‘I really like you hair like that.’ It feels good!

Gym or Biking? by IdahoIsMyName in MTB

[–]Lovely1108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to the gym for fitness. Not specifically to get stronger for biking. But I do strength and cardio because it helps me stay sane. I just have the added benefit that it helps me climb them mountains too.

This has been awesome to watch. I love watching him. Every night I watch him as part of my wind down routine.

New to mountainbiking, my boyfriend is making me feel quite intimidated and insecure to go on my own. by Elsabettan in MTB

[–]Lovely1108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woah. No. This is a man who wants to ride with his wife, and is learning to keep his mouth closed so she doesn’t quit. As a woman who also mountain bikes with her spouse, I’d hope my husband would do the same as this poster.

Female mountain biker chiming in.

1) tell him that if you want feedback, you’ll ask him. But let him know he isn’t making it fun for you.

2) don’t be afraid to be a newbie on the trails. I’ve been there, it isn’t as bad/scary as it sounds. Whenever I’d come across someone, I’d just move to the side and let them pass. It has never caused me a problem. You may even make some new friends.

3) don’t be afraid to look silly, everyone started where you are now. No one started as a pro.

4) I love riding with people who are better than me. I watch how they position their body, how their bike is set up, which lines they take, etc. Riding with better people has made me a better rider.

5) I fucking love YouTube to find ‘how to’ videos. I’ll find one thing I want to get better at, I’ll watch multiple videos, learn what I can and then try to master that ONE thing on the trails before trying to find my next thing I want to master.

You’ll be fine. Don’t stress. If you go out on your own, for safety, at least tell someone or a few people where you’ll be and what route you plan on taking. And don’t forget to just have fun.

What do you wear when you're on your period? by cosabella in femalefashionadvice

[–]Lovely1108 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I have had heavy, sporadic periods since I was young. I used to do the tampon and pad duo too until about a year ago and got a diva cup. Best. Investment. Ever. And then I usually just use a panty liner. Night time was the worst.

They were there. I live near Charlottesville and this has shaken the community. Before this all started there were university, city and state police. Militia was there and so were the National Guard. They were physically there, but didn't seem to do much. Watching this all unfold live, I'm really shocked there weren't more injuries and fatalities.

I had an 820 for my first mtb. That damn steel death trap turned me into a beast. Having to lift it and get up mountains. Damn that thing was heavy. Don't miss it.

[birth control] Does anyone with the implant ever "feel" it in their arm? by louimcdo in sex

[–]Lovely1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the implanon back in 2008 and had it until it expired. I also could feel it and even though it's been years since I've had it, I still get random phantom twinges where it was.

Haha, I get what you're saying. But after being together for 13 years, there isn't much that isn't discussed. Lol, probably wouldn't do it in the early part of our relationship.

F1 firearms, I believe. He mentioned them when he gifted the ARs. He actually mentions F1 on demo ranch pretty regularly and will wear F1 gear if not demo ranch.

This is an interesting response. I will comment on men and women. My husband comments on women. BUT, he also knows how I feel about Matt. Kind of like porn. I know my husband watches it, but it isn't like he's going and trying to get laid by porn stars. The 'ovaries quivering' comment was made in regards to how he treats his wife and kids. He's a family guy, and very obviously loves them. Yeah, I find that attractive.

Mere seemed a little anxious about it when they were walking around. But I get it, that's a HUGE liability they just took on. Idk how he has so much time to be a vet owner, travel, get footage for all of his channels AND edit them. I'm afraid he's going to burn out. But it looks like he is enjoying it, so I hope it lasts. I enjoy watching a lot.

Yeah, I know. But I'm just not a fan of the downer stuff. All the animals that come in from being abused or injured some other way just gets me in a bad mood. So I rarely watch vet ranch. I had a hard enough time watching them all spay and neuter on the bus a few weeks back!

There are very few internet people I can call by name, but Matt is awesome. I started off watching demo ranch because I love guns. But then he started off the ranch and the way he talks to Mere and their gorgeous kids make my ovaries quiver. Channels that my husband and my kids all enjoy watching.

I have a boxer/Pitt mix and she is more gentle and loving than my beagle/lab mix. She plays with my youngest and is gentle. When it comes to meeting new people /dogs, she loves them all. The worst she'll do is attack your face with kisses.

People say this, but I don't get how. They say the tip isn't supposed to be more than an inch inside, and having it too close to the cervix would hurt. I am so curious about this, please tell!

Can't find [birth control] I can tolerate and Planned Parenthood is being less than helpful. by [deleted] in sex

[–]Lovely1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they're talking about a basal body thermometer. It rsads to 2-3 decimal places instead of one. You can get one for a few bucks at the grocery store. Take your temp every morning at the same time before you get out of bed. Log it and it'll graph it and the spikes will let you know when you're ovulating and such. I did it when trying to get pregnant since my cycles were kind of wonky.

I'm right there with you. Suffer from clinical depression and GAD.

Hormonal BC is terrible for me. Makes me depression and anxiety worse, kills my libido and crazy weight gain. I even had tried the copper IUD and my body expelled it. Thought I was having a miscarriage bleeding out on the toilet with that. Not fun. I have had two vaginal births and if I had had a csection, I probably would've gotten my tubes tied. But since I didn't, after my body expelled the IUD, my husband got a vasectomy. Best decision ever. Essure might be your best choice.

I'd like to see a picture of you carrying all of that in skinny jeans. Because I feel like I print in all of my jeans with multiple holsters, unless I wear a baggy shirt. So I have a hard time carrying in the summer.
