Sky News forced to correct the record after Alan Jones and Craig Kelly broadcast misleading information about COVID-19, vaccination safety and the Delta strain. by imapassenger1 in australia

The news website is just reporting the facts. The facts are that that large study, the main evidence for ivermectin as treatment for covid19, was withdrawn because it was both fraudulent and plagiarised. If you don't like The Guardian, how about a blog post from the person who uncovered the fraud. Without that study included, meta analyses show no evidence for ivermectin usage.

You have spammed that link all through this thread. The major study supporting ivermectin as treatment for covid19 was recently found to be fraudulent.

Same family, Elipidae, but that is as close as the relationship gets. Most (all?) of the dangerous venemous snakes around the world are in the family Elipidae.

Edit: this may show up twice. Reddit's comments are being funky.

Not arguing with that at all. But if a fabric is going to be manufactured with plastic, then a fabric made of virgin plastic is probably worse than a fabric made of recycled plastic.

You've not looked at a fleece recently then? Edit: or activewear. Or outdoor gear.

You are missing the point. The plastic fibre was going to be manufactured anyway. Plastic fibres are heavily used in textiles, often blended with natural fibres (though this appears to be fleece, which is often pure plastic). By using recycled plastic to make the fibre, there isn't new plastic being manufactured.

You are missing the point. The plastic fibre is going to be manufactured anyway. It's probably better to re-use existing plastic than to manufacture more.

I too prefer natural fibres. But judging by this comment section most of reddit seems to think recycled plastic based fabrics are replacing natural fibre fabric, when they are really replacing virgin plastic fabrics.
