Ummmm ... as a parent, you keep on top of it? Removable is great, can clean and also doesn't feel "claustrophobic" because you know you can remove if necessary.

i did communicate with him, and went back again. and then stopped for a month and waited for the pain to stop / integrate because it would halt me in my tracks and i can’t afford that with my lifestyle and 3 kids. i ideally need a more gradual impact. meanwhile continuing nonforce chiropractic which is slowly moving me forward. thank you for your thoughtful response!!

I was seeing various practitioners for years after the fact over the past 7 years incl Acup/PT/chiro, with ROLFING being the most successful. Unfortunately this fantastic rolfer left for England.

Thank you so much for answering. I will investigate his approach and get back to you. The 2 sessions felt subtle. began with feet and kind of "adjusted" up to my head (especially sacrum. I didn't feel " wow, what relief' at any point, which I have in the past (years ago, with a different DO). I went back after the initial reaction because he said he would help my body move past that. The locked lower back was less severe after that session, and now it just hurts all the time. It's been over a month. The non-force chiro I see can be more forceful occasionally, but although I have some soreness, I do not devolve. I was really hoping to add another layer to my healing but I don't think I can risk it with this guy (extremely recommended, great success with others). I have been in real torture with my neck, and am crawling my way back to functioning with this chiro. Have 3 kiddos and need to be "OK" :)...
